Charming and Motivating for Any Book Lover
I got this "Books Read This Year" counter for my reading nook, and I absolutely love it. It is such a fun way to track my progress and actually see how many books I have finished. It keeps me motivated and makes reaching my reading goals feel even more rewarding.The wooden design feels pretty sturdy and well-made, with really pretty printed details that look great on my bookshelf. I like that it comes with interchangeable numbers, so you can easily update your total throughout the year. You do want to be careful punching these and the little holders out as they can break easily. The heart-shaped bookmarks are a sweet bonus and make it feel like a complete gift set.It was very easy to set up, and I appreciate that it can be hung on the wall or displayed on the included stand. Cute Way to Count Your Reads!
I would call myself a pretty voracious reader. I love to read, and keeping track of my yearly books read is something that I enjoy. This sign allows me to track my books in a cute, eye-catching way. This sign comes in pieces: one piece wiht the punch out hooks, the main board, three sheets of the numbers, the two pieces that you put together to make the easel for shelf display, two chains and hooks to hang your sign, and two sticky hooks to place on the wall/window where you would like to hang it. It also comes with four leather heart bookmarks to use in your books. The whole sign itself is pretty sturdy for being made out of pressed wood. The colors on the sign are bright and fit in with most bookshelf decor. I took off a star because the hooks are a little difficult to punch out, and then stick into the sign itself. Also, it took me a minute to figure out how to put the easel together. I think it would be nicer if there was a small one page instruction so that people who don't understand just by looking at the pieces have a way to figure out how it all fits together. The numbers punch out of their sheet quite easily, and it does take a little bit of force to get them on the hooks on the sign itself. That being said, I don't think that they will fall off any time soon. It is a really cute piece for anyone's library, even if it could be frustrating trying to fit the pieces together.

Cute Decorative Sign, Decent Execution
I think this is a reasonably priced, lightweight decorative sign. It’s not hardwood or anything heirloom-grade. It appears to be made from MDF or thin plywood with a printed laminate-style surface. It’s decorative first and foremost. The printing is clean, and the lettering and lantern graphic are pretty sharp. It has a smooth feel to the touch, and the edges appear to be laser cut. I could tell from the darker edge tone, but it doesn't impact how the edge feels to me.That said, it’s quite thin, and because it’s lightweight and thin, it may not hold up well to rough handling or drops. As with most thin wood-based materials, I’d recommend keeping it away from moisture.It does come with a good variety of accessories. There are adhesive hooks, suction cups, small chains, and display stands, so you can mount it or set it up in several different ways. It also includes little heart-shaped markers and three sets of letters. I was a bit puzzled on what the hearts were for at first, but then I remembered they're included bookmarks. A nice extra, I guess.Ultimately, I’d say it’s a decent mid-grade decorative item. It’s something you can set up and leave in place, and it looks good in a room. It’s just clearly not premium woodworking. The price feels fair for what you get. This little counter is absolutely adorable! The set comes with everything you need to start tracking your reads. There is a bit of assembly required (easy and without tools) but after that it's simple to hang to display or set on a shelf/table!The set is perfect for book lovers, it comes with four bookmarks in addition to the counter as a nice little add in. I think these would be amazing gifts to go around at a book club or book related party. The counter itself is on the smaller size, making it perfect for storing on your bookshelves if you don't want to use a hanger (note: my only disclaimer is with the hanger, these are permanent adhesive wall hangers so if you are renting, be aware of this! I'd suggest a command strip for easy removable hooks)Overall this is an awesome product and a really fun way to keep track of how much you've read. Would also be great for kiddos getting into summer reading!

This is quite nice overall, though I do have a few gripes.When I was putting it together, it was tricky to assemble without worrying about damaging the wood. The material is that thin type that can easily splinter or crack if you’re not careful. Once it was assembled, though, everything fit together perfectly and looked great.My main issue is that there’s nowhere to store the extra numbers — they’ll probably get lost over time. It would’ve been great if there were a small hook, pocket, or basket on the back to keep them organized.It did come with a chain, a little stand, and plenty of numbers, which is perfect for my fellow bookworms who love tracking how many books they’ve read. It also included four heart-shaped bookmarks made of nice-quality leather (or maybe pleather). They’re stitched securely and feel soft to the touch, even though I initially misunderstood what they were until I reread the listing.My only other complaint — and it’s more of a personal wish — is that I couldn’t change the label from “books” to “fanfiction.” Not a real flaw, just me being picky!
