nice scent and clean burn

The candle was packaged securely, with a box plus an outer cardboard case that protected it from shipment. It looks exactly like the picture and it definitely smells like sandalwood, but the rose is very faint. While burning, I still mostly get sandalwood, so it still smells very nice, but if you're after a floral scent, this probably isn't it. Great soy wax that doesn't leave a lot of soot. The only odd thing with it is in the instructions, it states to remove the label prior to burning, which isn't a big deal, but if you buy this for the purpose of the message it contains (ie, a gift for a reader), then take note of that.

This is a well-made, reasonably-priced (at about $12) scented candle. The "sandalwood & rose" description is accurate, and I would say the rose is the stronger of the two notes. The rose is even stronger when it burns than it smells in the jar. It's not really reminiscent of a book, library or book store to me, but I could absolutely see giving this as a gift to someone who likes books and floral scents. The label on the jar is as appears on the seller's main posted image.For those who purchase candles from larger chains, it's a very similar design to Bath & Body Works single-wick candles, and fits into their decorative holders.

This is the perfect gift for any book lover. It's a great price and the quality is really nice. I haven't burned it for very long, but it seems about average for candles in terms of burn time and the scent is really nice too.

Slow burn, heavily scented

The scent on this candle is pleasant but VERY strong. The smell does carry through the house and the wick burns nicely. For a soy candle it does not seem to melt and burn off as quickly as they usually do! I haven't tested the 45 hour burn time but I could believe it!
