This rug is great quality! The colors are warmer and more vibrant than the images, but I uploaded what it looks like in natural lighting. It's soft, beautiful, well made, a great value, easy to clean with water and carpet shampoo, and it lays flat. I love it! I just ordered one in a different color for my son.
I have purchased quite a few of the thin, velvety and washable rugs sold on Amazon that sell for less than $100. None of them were what I was looking for, so I decided to up my budget a little. We have three dogs and require a washable rug, one that will stay put on wood floors when they run around and one that looks like a traditional rug as much as possible. This rug from Bloom has surpassed all expectations. We unboxed it and immediately laid it out so it could release the folds. I did an immediate double take after doing so-I thought I was looking at an authentic Persian rug! It has a textured look, the colors are rich and saturated with just the right amount of distressing. The edges have a nice binding and the reverse has a more substantial and textured surface that really grabs the hardwood floor. This rug, for about $50 more than the less expensive rugs, looks infinitely more expensive. It doesn’t have that obvious look of having been printed rather than woven, is quite a bit heavier and is still soft underfoot. There was no discernible odor after unboxing. The color we chose, Terracotta Mustard looks really great with our natural red oak floors. I am considering ordering another now. I researched these washable rugs for two weeks and am so glad I decided to take a chance on the Bloom brand-what an upgrade compared with the other brands of this type of rug!
I ended up choosing this runner rug because of the fast shipping that was offered via Amazon Prime (Needed something fast bc guests coming over haha).I didn't expect much at this price point but I really have been needing a 10ft long runner for my kitchenHere's why I would recommend:• The color is rich (I bought the terra-cotta & blue)• Material washes well, haven't noticed any fading• Holds up well in high traffic area (toddler that spills everything and crazy large dog who's nails scratch everything!)• Beautiful and looks qualityCons:• Although I would not describe this rug as thin, it does not possess any sort of gripping material underneath. Depending on the intended use, I would recommend separately purchasing a rug pad. This rug does slide on hard surfaces. If you are in an all-adult household, you probably could get away with not getting one though. We have little feet and paws that like to run and play and we've had a few incidents before getting a pad (to be expected).I'm satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this product and the seller.
Update after 2 months:I reached out to the manufacturer Bloom because this rug is really falling apart. They asked for photos and let me know they had updated the construction of the rug, and the version I have is the old design and construction. They offered to send a replacement, which I accepted. Overall that was a smooth process so I'm updating this review to 4 stars based on the good customer service. It's too soon to tell whether the replacement will last but they did tell me the edge binding is updated, and the weave are updated, and I can confirm they do look different to me.Update after 3 days of use (May 30, 3025): This rug is beautiful but there is a run / tear after only 3 days in my hallway! I don't know if it arrived damaged and I didn't notice, or if it's been damaged since I put it in the hallway.Either way, I'm very unhappy. I got this rug because it's washable and easier to clean than my old wool rugs, and now I don't believe it would hold up to washing at all. It's not in a high traffic area (upstairs hallway by bedrooms), it hasn't been washed, and I haven't even vacuumed it yet.Original review May 27, 2025: Beautiful, and better quality than any other washable rugs I've purchased. It shipped rolled not folded so there are no fold lines. There is no noticeable odor. Haven't tried washing it yet but I'm sure it's easier to clean than wool rugs, which this is replacing.
Excellent rug. Soft feel, deep colour, looks great with wood. We choose to use a foam underlay and it sits nice and flat on that.
Can’t say enough good about this rug. I just love the LOOK of it. Expensive looking though it was not. It laid flat right away. Very soft underfoot too. Now I have not had to wash it yet because it vacuums and spot cleans so easily. A breeze to take care of. Bright colors and nice print.
This is the second time I bought this rug. I loved it when I first ordered in 2024, and expected the same quality this time. Unfortunately it is nowhere close. This rug looks nice and the colors are great, but it is so thin that it wrinkles under our feet and is creating a real trip hazard. I’m very disappointed. It should be much better for $300! I’m going to have to send it back
