The blackout material is 100% solid, NO light streams through it. I had just put it up before writing this and I can already tell it’s blocking the heat so well. Cutting it to fit was easy, just needed a measuring tape and a marker and was smooth sailing from there. I used the Velcro so I can take them down on cooler cloudier days and the Velcro has stuck well so far. Definitely recommend for hot Arizona summers!
