Excellent solution to light getting in the bedroom

This curtain rod has proven to be a real problem solver for me. I recently moved to a different bedroom than usual and was dismayed that not only the light from a streetlight shone into my window but also the neighbors' headlights when they leave for work every morning at 5 a.m. I had blinds on the window, but the light just came right through them. I had a panel curtain and needed an easy way for my relative to install it for me as I am disabled. I was amazed at how quickly he did so. I left the bedroom, boiled water for a cup of tea and before I could even drink it, it was done. (This was at most 15 minutes.) It only took a drill and a step stool. The best part is the way this is made solves my problem because it not only held the blackout panel perfectly but keeps any light from those light sources I mentioned from seeping in on the sides. I no longer have to wear an eye mask which I am happy about. Plus, because of the way it is made it allows me to block the light with just one single panel so I split the set of two panels between two windows with another rod and didn't have to buy another one. A regular rod would not have allowed this but the way this is made is so effective with the light blocking that it made it possible. I am very pleased with it and am considering getting another for another room.

This completely eliminates that frustrating sliver of light that typically leaks in from the sides, and it also blocks cold drafts, achieving a great effect for both heat insulation in summer and keeping warm in winter. I especially like the two-way adjustment for length: you can roughly set the length using the number of spliced rods (one, two, or three), and then use the 12-inch telescopic slide for precise fine-tuning. Made from high-quality 304 stainless steel, the rod is reinforced and color-coated, meaning it won't easily fade or rust, even if you choose to use it outdoors. The Rod Set is complete, including 1 telescoping inner rod, 2 fixed outer rods, 1 splicing rod, 2 curved bases, and 4 screws and anchors: everything you need for installation.Speaking of installation, it was easy, and the rod looks great once up. A great one-person installation tip is to install the two curved bases first (exactly where you need them). Then screw the rod to the base on one side and install the curtain and then finally slide the rod to the other side and screw it into the other base.Another major convenience is that you don't have to remove the curved bases from the wall to change or wash your curtains. You simply unscrew one of the outer rods from the curved base, slide it into the splicing rod, and the curtain can be easily removed. Of course, to get the full blackout effect, you’ll want to pair this rod with quality blackout curtains. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an effective and well-designed solution to block light.
