Finally, True Darkness Without Making My Windows Look Terrible

I have always been extremely sensitive to light at night. I am absolutely the person who tapes over tiny indicator lights on TVs and monitors. In one house, I even resorted to putting black garbage bags over my bedroom windows under the blinds just to block out the light. Sweet sweet darkness

I’ve tried a bunch of “blackout” options over the years, and most of them still leave an annoying glow around the edges. This one is a different approach, and it actually works. The full-frame magnetic seal makes a big difference. Once it’s on, the light gaps around the window frame are basically gone, which makes our bedroom feel truly dark.Installation is pretty straightforward. You apply the magnetic tape to the window frame once, then the cover snaps on and off quickly after that. You'll need to trim it to fit your window, but honestly that really helps it look cleaner once it’s up. Make sure to measure your window carefully because if there’s even a small uncovered section, because I guarantee it will turn into a bright “spotlight” compared to how dark the rest of the window gets.Overall, this was a great find and I'm so happy to finally get some relief from this stupid streetlight they installed right outside our bedroom window...

Love the magnetic installation

We can't sleep with any light on the room. Im always looking for new stuff to cover the windows. Most come with tape or some other adhesive and while they block light, there are always gaps between tape pads. But this comes with magnetic strips so you get a complete seal around the window. I installed mine inside the window frame, so its not so obvious when it is removed. It is very convienient to be able to take it off anf then jjst slap it back up magnetically. I used a wallpaper blade to cut it and it cut smoothly. It fits the window perfectly and was easy to install. Made of a good quality sturdy insulated black fabric.

The cover stays securely in place thanks to the magnetic system.However, when you take it off, it doesn't store well. It's awkward to fold or roll up neatly, and it tends to wrinkle or take up more space than I'd like. Would be nice if it came with a storage solution or folded more compactly.Overall, the functionality is excellent when it's in use. Just wish the storage aspect was better thought out. Still recommend for the convenience factor. Maybe better for a window it wont need to be removed from often.
