Somewhat deceptive listing -- not jute, but still cute

I'm a little torn on how to rate this, whether to give a 3 star or 4 star. I err against the side of user error, so for now I'm rating it 4.This product listing and color name are fairly misleading, as I incorrectly assumed that what I had ordered was jute. That's on me for not fully reading the entire description before ordering, but I usually trust titles. I still find it objectively suspicious for it to be described with the word "jute" ANYWHERE in the listing, due to the fact that this rug contains no jute at all -- not even a similar-texture alternative, like hemp or bamboo. It is instead a 70% polyester, 30% cotton rug. This is why I was beyond disappointed when it arrived, but I'll still continue to judge this rug as if I had known it WASN'T jute when I placed the order.I initially ordered this for my cats' room (assuming, of course, that it was 100% natural fiber) and instead have placed it in my bedroom. I do like the design, despite deceptive marketing describing it. It is a little nostalgic of older jute or bamboo rugs from Southeast and East Asia, though much softer to lay upon than those natural rugs.This rug arrived with no loose fibers that needed snipping, which I've found to be more common in 100% cotton woven rugs. It was received folded up, and if you want it to appear flat, you do need to iron it on low heat. It's a thin rug, as all cotton/polyester woven rugs are, but still quite soft. Even without a rug pad, it is comfortable to sit on atop a hardwood floor. With a rug pad (felt especially, which is very affordable), I am sure this would be an even more wonderful rug to sit and walk upon. The description DOES say that it is best used with a rug pad, and I am of the camp that feels woven rugs always need rug pads.Overall, if you can forgive the deceptive listing that implies a rug made of SOME sort of natural material, it's a pretty good rug and the 5x7 is a great size for creating separation between spaces.

BESTSWEETIE 5'x7' Area Rug Machine Washable

My son and his wife recently bought a new house after living in a very small apartment so there were a lot of things that they needed and rugs were one of them. I chose this rug because it was the perfect size, a neutral color and it was washable. They have two small children so that last part was very important.The rug came folded up like a towel which I understand for shipping purposes has to be done. There are some pretty deep lines from the folding that didn't come out after letting it sit for several days so it did require some ironing. I didnt wash it before I gave it to them but I did iron it and then roll it up so the lines wouldn't come back.They absolutely love this rug. It IS very slippery if you set it down by itself on a hardwood floor so you will definitely want to get a non slip rug pad to put under it, I don't think that that's optional. They love the color and the great texture that the rug has. So it's cotton and polyester, it looks like a handwoven rug you would find at an exotic market somewhere. The price was great, the quality is great and the fact that it is washable makes it the perfect rug for young families.
