These Candles Turned My Living Room Into a Fancy Bee Spa (and My Cat Is Obsessed)

I bought this set of three hand-rolled beeswax pillars expecting some nice ambiance. What I got was a full-blown honey-scented lifestyle upgrade that I didn’t know I needed.First off, the honeycomb pattern is ridiculous in the best way. Unlit, they look like tiny golden skyscrapers designed by architect bees on a boutique budget. 3" tall - see picture for avocado, for scale. Lit? The light dances through the rolls like the candle is putting on its own private laser show. My friends keep asking if I hired an interior designer or just “got really into candles lately.”They burn forever—each one claims a durable 20+ hours, but I swear the first one has been going for three weeks straight during my “evening unwind” sessions (translation: scrolling on the couch with wine). That makes them a decent value for the money. Dripless, smokeless, unscented but with that subtle natural honey vibe that makes the room smell like a high-end bakery had a baby with a meadow.The air-purifying thing? I was skeptical. Negative ions, sure, whatever. But here’s the proof: My cat, who normally sneezes like a cartoon character whenever the furnace kicks on, has stopped mid-sneeze and just… stared at the flame in peaceful bliss. He now parks himself in front of whichever candle is lit like it’s his personal therapist. I’m considering charging him rent for the spa services.Bonus: They come in a gift box so pretty I almost kept them for myself (again). Actually beeswax??

I really debated how to review these candles because I’m still struggling to verify that it’s actually 100% pure beeswax. If real, they are a phenomenal value (price would be in the $6 range per 6inch pillar which is like an unheard of price for pure beeswax)Appearance: These are not solid poured pillars, they are wax sheets that have been pressed into a honeycomb pattern and then rolled. If you unroll the edge, it is pliable and sticky. The color is a very bright uniform marigold yellow, which looks artificial when compared to the pale yellow and ambers of my other beeswax pillars of verified origin. The surface pattern of the wax is perfectly unflawed, with no flaking at the edges which I’d expect to see with pure beeswax.Smell: Or lack thereof. Every real beeswax candle I’ve ever owned has had a pleasant, faint honey smell to it. Not just when you light it, but even unlit and will transfer to your fingers when you touch it. These candles not only have no honey scent, they don’t smell good- more like plastic or chemicals? The odor is not noticeable when burning, just when you sniff the unlit candle.Brightness: The glow of the flame extends a few inches of the way down into the pillar, which may be from how loosely it’s wrapped. It does look pretty glowing from within. By comparison, my verified beeswax candle only lights up the top rim of the pillar, maybe an inch. This may not be a significant finding.While researching how to verify the purity of the candles I came across something called a “float test”. Basically you put a small piece of the wax into a glass of water. It’s said that beeswax will float, whereas other waxes will sink. I don’t really know how accurate that test is, but the candle wax DID float, so maybe it is beeswax?Everything I could find online pointed to problems with Amazon vendors selling adulterated beeswax candles inexpensively. For me, the biggest red flag is the lack of beeswax scent, followed by the unnaturally vibrant color and the “perfection” of the mould.Because of potential health risk I’ve decided NOT to burn these in my home.

Really nice candle set

I've been choosing to give things at least thirty days before writing a review so I can be sure that I have an accurate impression of the quality and I'm glad I did with this. I wasn't sure what I thought at first but now I'm really impressed. Good quality candles, easy to use as they burned evenly and cleanly. The color is such a pretty honey shade, and the scent is very subtle. Good value for the price and would make a great gift. Five stars.

Classic appearance and great quality

The candles finally arrived and my wife absolutely loves them. What really stands out is the beautiful rolled beeswax construction. They have that authentic, handmade feel with the natural texture and subtle honeycomb pattern of pure beeswax. We loved them so much that I decided to create a custom tiered pedestal display for them using my CNC machine allowing us to showcase the candles in our living room.Have lit these the past couple of nights and they barely show any decrease in size with a perfect flame. Needless to say I will be purchasing these candles in the future when they eventually burn off and highly recommend for anyone looking for premium, natural beeswax candles. The price they are asking is reasonable for the quality.
