Great replacement for generic scented candles

Awesome candles - I'm a happy returning customer.Why I chose them initially: I used various brandname scented candles, but after reading up on them, realized paraffin is not ideal to burn frequently indoors (lots of residue). Bought these because they're natural beeswax - the scent is much more subtle, but I find the flame to be comforting in grey weather.Unexpected downside: don't burn these in a draft... The flame gets stronger and they burn quicker, releasing smoke (usually they don't). People complaining about how these burn in hurricane candle holders should really read instructions. They specifically say not to do it and I can see why - they create a draft. Hence smoke, fast burn, etc.Unexpected upside:Very pleasant, subtle scent and a beautiful flame. Also absolutely no drippings on the side, almost perfectly even burn down the candle.

Quality candle. Gives off a very nice slightly yellowish, warm yet bright light. No drips. However, burns a wee bit more quickly than I would like for the price. Burns down better and more evenly with no drafts or breeze. For the occasional use, well worth the money. For every day use though, could be a little pricey.

Great burn time

I bought this candle because I wanted a 100% beeswax candle. This candle fits the bill.Pros: Great burn time! We started burning it in 3-5 hour increments 12 days ago, and we've gotten around 40 hours out of it so far, and there's still about an inch and a half of candle left (we got the 3x4 size). We "hugged" our candle every hour or so, like the wrapper that was on the candle when it came said to do. We gently press the top part of the candle inward so that part melts also. I'd guess there's roughly a half to 3/4 inch of wax above the melt level, but as long as you "hug" it and press that part inward slightly, it melts down and gives your candle a longer life. I'm guessing other negative reviews that claim tunneling or shorter lifespan didn't do that. No candle should be left completely alone for hours anyway, so hug your candle!Cons: I don't notice a smell with this at all. It's not a deal-breaker for me, but I have smelled other beeswax candles with much stronger scent and this one has a slight scent. Take into account that I'm burning it in an open living room/kitchen area so the smell might just get dissipated before I notice it.Also, I've noticed as I "hug" it that the wick is slightly off-center so one side is thicker than the other. It's not a big deal, I compensate by "hugging" that side a little more than the other and it's not a problem.Overall, I really like this candle and am going to buy another one, probably a few, and in bigger sizes. With proper attention, this candle is worth the cost and lasts several hours.

SO GOOD. Many more hours burn than other brand

I don't know if it's the wick or the wax, but these burn WAY longer than the brand I used previously (starts with "Bl")I've found the trick to getting longer burns is to keep the "melt circle" even and centered. The wicks in these seem very centered. To keep them that way:--Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting. A longer wick will bend toward one side, making your melt circle uneven.--Don't blow out the candle, that will deform the soft wax and leave you with an uneven melt circle the next time you burn. (If you don't have a snuffer, you can make one from aluminum foil - just form a thimble shape and make a handle on it too so you don't get burned.)
