Cannot Manually Set Time – Nice Large Display - Syncing Can Be Tricky
This digital clock from the Baldr store has some nice features. The thing I like best is the extra-large display. You can place it at a distance and still read it easily.Setup for syncing was a little investigative. I tried several times following the instructions but couldn’t get it to work at first. I have a Google Pixel phone (Android), and when the clock asked for permissions such as location, messages, and pictures, I initially said “no.” It turns out you need to allow all permissions before it will sync. After it synced, I went into the Bluetooth settings and turned those permissions back off, which I’m guessing disables the automatic sync.The clock is supposed to automatically re-sync every 24 hours from the last sync. The instructions only cover basic setup, so I’m guessing your phone needs to be nearby and turned on for syncing to work. For me, as long as the time keeps reasonably well, I’ll just manually re-sync it when needed.This is a very basic clock. There’s no backlight, no snooze, no seconds display, and no date. You also cannot manually set the time. What happens if you take the clock somewhere with sketchy or no cellular/bluetooth service? The weekday and temperature display are helpful features.My bottom line: This is a good clock for simply checking the time, and the large display is its biggest strength. Since there’s no backlight, the batteries should last a long time, and it looks clean without a cord if you hang it on the wall. The alarm is somewhat clumsy to turn on and off, especially if you’re using it by the bed. For most settings you have to look directly at the buttons so you don’t press the wrong one. Personally, I wouldn’t buy this clock because you cannot manually set the time, which seems like one of the most basic features a clock should have.

This is a Great Big clock! If you have trouble seeing the wall clock or desk clock you have had forever, give this clock a chance to help you get back on schedule. These numbers are BIG. How big? Big enough to read from across the room with no glasses! Even the temperature numbers are large enough for most people to read from across the room. This clock measures temperature in either F or C. It also has an alarm feature.It was really simple to set the clock using the fairly simple instructions. It holds 3 AAA batteries and is supposed to last many months without changing the batteries. The clock itself is sleek and attractive. It can set on a shelf or it can hang on a wall. There are buttons on the back side to help set up the time and alarm and to connect the clock to your phone so it can stay properly synchronized.I was slightly disappointed that there doesn't seem to be a way to set the clock without connecting it to your phone's bluetooth. But it was very easy to connect to my phone, so, assuming it says connected and keeps time accurately, this is a great little BIG clock.
