I bought the extra big size because it was on sale. Easy to cut to size and stays hidden under the rug. No slipping and sliding anymore! I have kept the excess trimmings to use for other purposes. The material is very similar to the rolls of mesh liner for cupboards and drawers. It came in a vacuum sealed package. It stuck together a little bit but didn’t tear when pulled apart. Slight smell when first opened, but it did not linger.
This is a great way to keep your rugs from bunching up and with heavy traffic like bigger dogs and or little ones I have not had any movement of my rug which makes it safer for all and it keeps a nice flat level surface for a crisp look. I do recommend opening and unfolding outdoors I draped mine over my gate and let it air out in the sun for 10 minutes just to allow the new smell to dissipate as it does have a strong scent when first opened as does most things that are new. I give this product five stars for price, quality, durability, rugs stay in place
We bought this rug gripper because our old one was falling apart. This rug gripper works great! It holds the rug firmly and keeps it in place. One thing to do prior to installing is to air product out for 12 hours to remove the scent.We are very pleased with our purchase and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a rug gripper.

The mat is thin, low profile, so you don't notice it as the rug lays very close to the floor. My issue with it is, it grips the floor well, but the braided rugs I have on the mats don't always stay in place. I find I have to readjust the rug frequently to reposition it to conceal the mat.
