Beautiful, but smell strongly like gasoline

These candles are beautiful. However, they are not unscented! In fact, when you first take them out of their packaging, they smell strongly like gas or some kind of fuel. The smell eventually dissipates in a few days. But if you’re sensitive to fuel smells, you might want to try something else.Like all painted candles, you also have to be very, very careful to avoid scratching them. These seem to be more fragile than others. I’ve learned to handle them quite carefully.

Wicks are centered and candles burn correctly—no dangerous drips

If you zoom in on the first picture, you can see that the wax and wick are a perfect match. Which, sadly is not always the case with candles these days. These burn precisely as the should, developing a dimple and then a widening depression around the wick and allowing the melted was to safely pool there.Please note that ANone may st keep a wick trimmed periodically as the candle is burn d, otherwise when the wax around the wick drops lower and lower, more of the wick becomes exposed and a longer wick burns too hot and will make a mess with too much hot wax…very dangerous!I checked the bottom of every candle and ALL six have a properly centered wick. This is critically important because when a wick is off-center it will burn closer and closer to the outer edge of a candle. How do I know? Went thru that with a candle set on a dish on top of the brand new TV back in the day. I looked up from my work in the kitchen to see a nearly 2’ flame COMING OUT OF THE TV ;back in the day…bug heavy TV with black plastic case…overflowing hit wax on fire melted the top if the V and plate & candle dripped into IT V in top if picture tube! By the way, you cannot put out hor wax with baking soda or smother it with a towel. Wax just re-ignites…ask me how I learned that-lol).Really nicely made candles. Yeah, a few small impressions in the outer gold surface but not enuff to be noticed. Good buy for the price! Pretty and can be quite stunning on a table!
