Love the shelves, they look great and are easy to install. The only drawback to these are that the wall anchors and molly screws are absolutely useless. I’ve install 9 of these shelves so far and every one has had useless molly screws. Just know that you will want to use your own wall anchors to secure these. So 4.5 stars :-)
I don’t usually do reviews. But this product was exceptionally well built and easy to install! And the product matched my decor perfectly! This product is made from solid wood not MDF. It is sturdy and is of the highest quality! I liked it so much. I bought another one and can’t wait to install it as well. I probably went a little overboard with installation, but that is just my personal preference. The hardware that is enclosed, I’m sure would work just fine. I decided to go the extra mile and use toggle boats but again that’s just personal preference. This product is exceptional!!!
These shelves are well made, look great, and are easy to install. There are multiple slots in the mounting brackets that make it easy to hit studs. Highly recommend.
We hung these floating shelves together and overall I really love them, but installation took much longer than it should have.The shelves themselves look great once they are up. They feel sturdy, sit flush to the wall, and the finished look is exactly what I wanted. They instantly made the space feel more finished and polished.The issue was with the hardware and mounting system. The built-in hanging tools and the included drywall screws were very cheaply made. Both screws stripped and we ended up having to stop mid-install and go buy our own drywall anchors and screws. Once we swapped those out, the shelves went up much more smoothly.If you are comfortable doing basic installs or plan to use your own hardware, these are a great option and the final result is worth it. Just know going in that you may want to replace the included mounting pieces to save yourself time and frustration.
The key to installing these is to be sure the brackets are screwed into the studs. Find the studs first, measure the distance between them, and be sure to order the set with the mounting bracket that matches up to your measurements. Once that is out of the way install the shelf bracket with some help, and use a level. The mounting brackets are heavy duty and is one of the things that make this product stand out from other similar types.My wife and I put these up in under an hour and loved the results. They look sharp, have clean lines and are very sturdy. They are deep enough to hold a lot of different sized items and there is no complaints about the wonderful finish. I love that these are REAL wood, there really is no faux alternative that could look this nice.They have been up for 3 months with no issues and we are buying another set!
DO NOT BUY THESE SHELVES! Or, go ahead and buy them if you love aggravation and want to go thru the installation process two or three times before you're confident these heavy shelves will stay on the wall - if that's your idea of fun. The shelves themselves are fine, actually decent, but the hardware included for installation is crap - TOTAL CRAP! The expansion molly bolts DO NOT EXPAND - they are worthless! So you put them in, put on the wall bracket, and when they won't tighten you take if all down/out. Go ahead - try the clear plastic mollys they send. But wait, the screws won't tighten in those either because they're CRAP! Having fun yet? Take everything down (again!), go to the hardware store, spend $20 for a box of large (because now you've put expansion mollys and mollys in/out twice so the hole is BIG) QUALITY mollys and do it a third time! Like I said, shelves good, hardware CRAP. Have fun!
The craftsmanship, choice of wood, and color of finish is stunning. However, the hardware that it came with was severely lacking. The metal anchor screws stripped like they were play dough with a normal drill. It didn’t come with any long screws. Only short ones. Despite the instructions saying to use long screws that were provided if you were drilling into a stud. Which I was. Could I have gone and gotten some screws? Well sure, but that would have required putting on certain pieces of clothing that I didn’t feel like putting on in this 95 degree TN weather.
