I have no reasone to believe this is not genuine.
I used to frame art for a living in my 20s. That both included original artworks, and prints of various natures. I got pretty good at being able to discern whether a work was original or a print. Yes there are several techniques that can be used to make a print appear to be an original. (At least on canvas.)I took this talisman out of it's frame. (i believe the frame is a laminate, but not certain). When i examined the talisman i could see the relief of where the ink hit the page and ever so slightly warped the paper. This would not typically happen in a mass market printing process. This is enough information to satisfy my concerns that this wasn't even a hand made item. Though, I cannot attest to whether it was written by a monk or not. There is no certificate of authenticity to claim otherwise.Though i am no Taoist, or even a religious person, i am somewhat superstitious and spiritual. Our family went through a rough patch recently that felt like the universe was out to get us, with our luck faltering around every corner. We were a statistical anomaly with every situation we found ourselves in, resulting in worst possible outcome. We finally clawed our way out of the valley of misfortune, a little worse for the wear and slightly traumatized. Certainly it would harm nothing for us to have a little extra spiritual protection, (of course paired with double down hard work and efforts to protect ourselves from future catastrophe).I personally will not be placing wagers on whether the talismans actually works, but i also like it for its novelty and worldly nature, while it makes a nice addition to the dark academic aesthetic of my home.

Unique framed talisman
This is a beautiful piece of artwork that arrived fully assembled in the frame, so there was no setup required. I love the elegant, tall, narrow shape and the unique premise behind the piece. It feels thoughtfully designed and stands out from more generic wall décor in my office/library. The visual language draws clearly from Taoist talisman traditions, giving it a culturally inspired and symbolic feel. It works well as either a wall hanging or a tabletop display. It’s reasonably priced for what you get and would make a unique gift for someone interested in symbolism or Feng Shui-inspired decor. Just keep in mind that it’s intended as symbolic decorative art rather than a true religious artifact.

Cultural Feng Shui Wealth Talisman – Master‑Written, Historically Sealed, Ready to Display
The fact that each piece is handwritten by a Taoist Master gives it a level of authenticity you can actually feel when you see it up close. It’s not mass‑produced or printed, and the brushwork has that subtle variation that only comes from real craftsmanship. The hand‑applied replica seals are a beautiful touch. Knowing they’re based on historic seals preserved at Longhu Mountain—the birthplace of Taoism—adds a layer of meaning that makes the piece feel like a cultural keepsake rather than just wall art. You can tell the seals weren’t stamped by a machine; they have that textured, intentional look that makes each one unique. The framing is clean and elegant. The walnut‑finish frame and acrylic front give it a polished, gallery‑style feel without being flashy. It’s the perfect size for an entryway or office, and it instantly adds a sense of calm and intention to the space. What I love most is how versatile it is. Whether you’re into Feng Shui, appreciate cultural art, or just want something meaningful to display, it fits right in. I’ve had guests ask about it more than once because it stands out in a subtle, refined way.It also makes a thoughtful gift. It has that blend of tradition, artistry, and symbolism that feels special—something you’d give for a new home, a business opening, or even as a good‑luck gesture for someone starting a new chapter.Overall, it’s a beautifully crafted piece with real cultural depth. It feels intentional, meaningful, and genuinely well‑made—something you’ll appreciate every time you walk past it.

Pretty
This thing looks genuinely beautiful in person — the framing is elegant and it fits nicely as a decorative piece without feeling cheesy. The calligraphy is clean and it's a solid addition to my living room aesthetic. But here's the thing: I have no way to verify that this is actually what it claims to be. A certificate of authenticity naming a specific certifier (ideally someone you can actually look up) would've gone a long way, because right now I'm basically taking it on faith that this is a legitimate handwritten Taoist symbol (written by a real monk) and not a really nice-looking fake. As for whether it actually brings wealth and good fortune? 🤷 I can't speak to that one way or another, but it definitely brings visual appeal, so I'm calling that a win. If you're buying this purely for the decor value and the symbolism of the thing, you'll be happy. If you're relying on it to actually deliver on the Feng Shui promises... good luck!

Interesting cultural piece of art in a small size. Framed nicely!
I ordered this talisman for myself because I was intrigued with the Taoist symbolism. As it turns out, it is a very attractive addition to our home. The talisman came framed and matted with a backing that allows it to stand on a table if desired. It was packaged in a cardboard box suitable for gift giving.Looking at it closely, it does appear to be done by hand, not by a machine. It has a gold color background, as pictured. The size is small enough for it to fit almost anywhere. For now, I have it standing on a cabinet. This Taoist symbol is to promote wealth and good fortune. It can’t hurt to try, and it might help! Seriously, this is an attractive small piece of art, and it does have an interesting cultural origin, according to the description. It is an unusual piece of art for anyone’s home.
