This is a surprisingly (for the LOW price) nice rug! It is not as thin as I expected ... I mean, it's NOT a plush rug by any means, but some people described it as being like T-shirt material -- that is an exaggeration. It's more like the thickness of a good quality sweatshirt that has that extra fleecy inside layer. The pattern (printed on) is nice. Because of the thinness, it doesn't lay perfectly flat on the edges -- the spots where it was folded still peak up on the edge about 1/4". But it works just fine in a spare bedroom -- looks nice and gives your feet something warm and soft to land on in the morning.

Looks nice, but not easy to clean

I really like the way this rug looks, but it's been difficult to clean and that was the point.I got it shortly after bringing home a new puppy because, well, puppies make messes.Out of the packaging, it layed down nicely. No wrinkles or curled edges. I love the pattern. It looks like it's been the center of the room for years rather than just thrown down.When it came time to clean it, I learned that vacuuming wasn't going to work. It's too thin and lightweight and kept getting sucked up into the vacuum no matter what setting I tried. That wasn't the end of the world since I use a rubber bristled broom to pick up dog hair, but I didn't feel like I was cleaning well enough without a vacuum.It was easy to clean up accidents with an enzyme cleaner and rags since there's no padding underneath to soak up liquid, that was a big plus, but when I wanted a more thorough cleaning, I couldn't use the carpet shampooer, so I threw it in the washing machine.My first attempt at home in a front load machine, I kept getting error codes that it wasn't balancing. I tried a few times before I started worrying about ruining the machine. Then I tried the shop top load machine with the same result. Finally, I took it to the fire station and used the washing machine designed for heavy bunker gear. That worked, but by this point the rug had a slight musty smell from being wet for 2 days, so I washed it a second time and it threw a code. Fortunately, it worked the third time and it dried pretty quickly hanging up, but I don't think I'll be trying to wash it again until I can take it outside and scrub it with a hose.I would really like to know how other people are washing these at home.

I can’t say enough about these rugs. I’ve had them well over a year. I have washed him many many many times I can’t stress how well it has held up so I actually purchased four of them. They’re wonderful. I love rugs when they can be washed in the washing machine, and these can be washed. They are good quality.
