This is a perfect holder for burning Japanese incense. It caught all of the ashes and is beautiful to look at. If you burn Indian incense in it, since it has a bamboo stick and is taller, it might not suffice as some reviews suggest. However, it isn't advertised that way. It is made for Japanese incense and is just right.
What a beautiful incense holder. It is as advertised and simply is gorgeous. Take note on the type of incense. It is perfect in my reading room and would make a beautiful gift as well.
Idk about other people but $30 for an incense holder is quite expensive to me, at least it holds my asian sticks that none of the 9 hole or 3 hole holders are able to hold.If it's possible to get only the metal hodler piece, I would.
This ceramic bowl is beautiful, formed in a stylised lotus pod design. It comes with a removable brass fixture for holding a stick of incense, but the bowl itself is the real beauty here, and the thing you're paying for. The glaze is high quality and splendid to touch and look at. It would do a fine job for incense, but I use it as a trinket dish, because its high sides keep my small belongings from tipping out. Absolutely attractive and giftable.
I wanted something different than my usual box incense holder. This is nice but I probably wouldn’t buy it again. It just doesn’t hold the incense very well (which could just be the quality of incense I’m using) the sticks aren’t all the same size. Which is an easy fix by placing a smaller or bigger stick in the brass holder and the stick normally stays up.It’s definitely giftable but I would make sure you gift the proper incense with it!
