My mom has been using this brand of incense for a long time. They are straight from Japan and don't produce as much smoke when they burn. This one is chocolate scented. It smells more woodsy when actually burning, but with a nice soft chocolaty flavor. Really like them for my meditation sessions.
Very interesting aroma! Yes, it does smell like chocolate. Not sure that I would like chocolate-scented incense, but I do! It's a subtle, pleasant scent, and kind of fun. This is a low-smoke offering by Asayu, so it is much more subtle than one may expect. I burn two sticks at a time in a coffin-style holder next to my bedside table, and that yields just the right amount of fragrance for my preference. You get 100 joss sticks per box, and that is a fair value for the price paid. If you're looking for something fun and out of the ordinary in terms of incense, give these a try. I'm glad I did.
