✅ BEAUTIFUL, DECORATION FOR DESK OR COUNTER, REALISTIC LEAVES, WELL MADE! GREAT FOR ALOCASIA LOVERS!

Being an exotic and tropical plant collector and grower, my absolute favorite tropical plant species is alocasia. There are whole subgroups within the hobby that are dedicated to specific species, and we are known as "alocasia addicts"! I have over 30 different varieties of live alocasias and they are notorious for being one of the more if jit the most difficult tropical plant to grow, and keep happy.Since alocasia also tend to get extremely large, and do their best and thrive in real sunlight, it's almost impossible to keep them inside, especially as decoration on a desk top or inside a house (more so long term). I saw this little decorative alocasia and knew immediately that I needed to have it for my work desk!✅ SIZE: for the actual alocasia species that the leaves are designed after (alocasia polly), the live plant can get extremely large, and is one of the popular and most recognizable varieties. so to be able to have a "dwarf version", even if it is artificial, sitting on my desk top at work, is actually really fun! it's the perfect size to sit at the corner of a desk and not take up too much space with being to large, wide, or dense. i love it's compact size.✅ GREAT QUALITY: the overall quality of the decoration is actually really nice! i was rather surprised because i wasnt sure how the faux water would appear. the glass bottle is clear and pretty, the faux water im assuming is transparent epoxy filling about an eight of the glass jar in the bottom, and the leaf stems are submerged into the epoxy, keeping them in place. there is a thin string of twine tied around the body of the jar, but im sure you could switch that out for any kind of ribbon or creative accent. everything is put together extremely cleanly and very methodically. there are no sloppy spills, spots or smudges anywhere, and the overall design is very aesthetically cute.✅ REALISTIC LEAVES + FLEXIBLE STEMS: i did have to do a little fluffing and arranging when i first took this decoration from the box, as it was flattened and pushed into the compact box. the alocasia leaf stems are bendable and flexible, so you can move the leaves around and spread them out. the leaves themselves are wonderful as well, because not only do they visibly appear to be real, but they also initially physically feel real, as well!The leaves are constructed from some kind of thin rubbery, plastic-like sheet, and the everything from the colors, the shape, the texture of the veins and accents, all are placed correctly with all the details being right, which make it really convincing. The feel of the leaves are the same thickness and texture of the live plant leaves, the only slightly noticeable giveaway that these are artificial is the lack of shine on the leaf faces The live alocasia poly leaves do have a somewhat shiny and glossy leaf face, and these appear more satiny matte.Overall, this is a great little decoration for desk tops and offices, or counters. It's the perfect size to not be in the way, and yet it's so well done that its eye catching. However, for those that are in deeply involved in the hobby and that are extremely familiar with alocasia plants, know that the alocasia plants and leaves do NOT actually work this way alocasia leaves do not, indeed, break off cleanly from the main stem, unless cut, and even then, placing them in water, simply for the aesthetic arrangement appeal, is not something typically done, as alocasia leaves wilt and yellow within minutes after being detached from the main plant, regardless of if they are submersed in water or not.So, those who know, know that this decoration is irrefutably artificial, while those who aren't versed, it could definitely pass as being real. Regardless, I really love it, being that I love alocasia plants anyway, and I believe this would be an awesome little gift for any plant lover. It's an alocasia that you dont have to worry about, being finicky, or overly sensitive, like the real live plants are!⚠️ 📌 OVERALL RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE STARS —————————————————————————♡

Glass arrived cracked.

The item I recieved arrived with cracked glass. Little pieces of glass got everywhere after I removed it from the foam packing.Each leaf measures about 5 inches.The faux plant with glass measures about 9.5 inches tall from bottom to top.If it hadn't arrived broken, I would have given this cute little faux plant a 5 star rating. Being broken and sharp, it is unusable in its current condition.
