Even the Cat Lives These Flowers :)))

These are more beautiful than I thought they would be! They have not only pretty colors, but the petals around it with little stamens in the center of them. Regardless of what color groupings that I put these in, they looked beautiful!The size of the flower is smaller flower, and is looks beautiful! I love that some of them can even dangle over the edge. They have metal in the stems hidden underneath the green plastic, but many parts of these flowers can be bent or adjusted to create the shape that you're going for in your flower design.They look so real, that they convinced my playful kitten but they are real! They are not real, but they sure do look like it from a distance. And even up close, they're just so pretty, that you don't care if they're real or a faux flower. My cat was so determined to get at these, particularly the grasses.. that I had to put it up very high in my kitchen. And even then, my cats stood on the edge of a banister trying to consider if she should try to leap up into the cabinets! I'm glad she wisely decided not to try it!When these come packaged, they'll come in a box and be bent, but they can easily be opened and straightened. You'll want to pick up some of the stray flowers and pop them back on to some little spikes on the green stem. They do have a bit of a smell, so you'll want to put them in the sunshine or spring with febreze. The odor may dissipate if you give it a week or two. I'm not sure still on that. It might have improved though just in the last few days because when I've been in the kitchen I haven't noticed the smell anymore.I love these flowers, and I'm so happy to have them brighten my home!

Good quality flowers are a good length for a 12" vase.

This set is comprised of 2 types of stems, the grass stems (2x) and the flower stems (12x). I chose the purple color and this set comes with 2 different colors of flowers. One type is a medium purple color and the other is lavender with white accents. Both types of flowers have visible veins to help the flowers look more realistic. And all the flowers have plastic yellow stamens in the center. The green foliage is shiny plastic and looks like it was assembled in segments. Each segment starts with darker green leaves at the base that fade into a lighter green as you move towards the end.My wife chose a medium-sized red vase that is about 11" tall, and instead of concentrating the grass in the center like the product photos, she blended it in to the rest of the flowers. For this arrangement, she used 5 of the flower bunches and one grass stem. I think the length of these flowers is just the right length for this size of vase.Size is important when it comes to choosing the right flowers for your vase. There are a couple of different sizes provided on the product page, but in 2 places it mentions that the grass stems are 24.4" x 17.7". When I measured the longest individual grass blades, when stretched out fully are 22" long. Most of them are shorter, down to 15". So when naturally displayed the 'usable' height for these is a maximum of only around 19". The width of the grass stems, when splayed out is about 20". So they are a little shorter and a little wider than you might expect.The flower bunches are a little shorter than the grass, about 14" long and are a more similar size to what is mentioned/shown in the product image that contains the measurements. These stems are fairly full, but a few of them came with some sprigs that became disjoined during shipment. Apparently this is a feature as one of the product images mentions that the 'Detachable flower head design allows you to combine freely'. Now if I could only find the places that these loose stems were attached to originally. The stems on these flower bunches have a wire core in them so, even though they were received bent at an odd angle, I was able to easily straighten them out again.

Vibrant colors and realistic looking

The mixed color flowers and grass sprays come packaged in bundles that separate each color. Upon opening the package, you do get a strong plastic chemical smell, but it dissipated to a slight odor within 24 hours and I am sure that it won't even be noticeable when placed outside. When the bundles were released from the plastic covers they immediately popped to life. The greenery is described as ferns on the product page, but they look more like tall grass. They do look more realistic in the basket than I thought they would. For the purpose of my photos, I grabbed a wicker basket and just scooped up the entire set of bundles and placed them in the basket with no effort at arranging them and they look incredibly nice. Imagine how nice they can look with a little effort at arranging! However, I didn't want to do that since when Spring arrives, I actually plan on using them in two outdoor window boxes that get little sun and I've been unsuccessful at growing real flowers in them. I think these will look realistic and will be much prettier than half dead real flowers and can last until Fall. I am pleased with the way they look.
