Perfect easy-to-install curtain to reduce light, save on energy costs, and increase privacy
I have a back door that's half door, half window, and west-facing. When the sun is setting, it heats up my dining room to about 9,000 degrees. I didn't want to completely block out this window, as my dog peers inside when he's ready to come back in, but I definitely needed something to block out some light, keep the dining room cool, and offer some privacy at night. This curtain fits perfectly at this window and still allows me (and my dog) to see through the window. We're no longer sweating while eating dinner, thanks to the cooling effect that this curtain has had by blocking a good majority of the sun during peak hours.I got light grey and it looks great against my slate blue painted dining room, and goes well with the slightly darker grey of my kitchen.One tip I read from another review is definitely get much wider than you think you need so that you have enough fabric to scrunch correctly when you tie at the middle. The tie back provided with the curtain is a great quality, with a strong Velcro strip.

LOVE these curtains, BUT...
I would have given 5 stars, but...curtains were TOO SHORT! Just by about an inch. They're about 39", and I needed a good 40". Not going to go to the trouble of tearing out the hem, and re-sewing them OR returning. So I was unable to use the bottom rod, and had to leave the curtain free flowing. Now the tieback slips off, and the loose curtain gets caught in the opened or closed door!The color was also different in person than pictures. More of a work uniform medium khaki color. Not a bad color, but I wanted a little something closer to the picture, softer and less "industrial".However, the material is thick and quality. I like the silky feel and look (besides the off color) and they really do block out light and are great for privacy, all at an excellent price! I bet they wash well, too, although I haven't done that yet.All in all, a great buy, especially if you can live with them being too short!

I really like these, mostly because they are exactly like the color shown here (turquoise ones). It's hard to match up aqua and teal sometimes because most seem to think they are the same color and there are different variations of both. I have a turquoise rug and am doing my dining room in that color and aqua and teal. These go with the rug great and look nice on my French doors. I don't want to block out the light so have them tied like in picture here and they really look elegant. They seem well made and I expect them to last til I get tired of this color and change out. The fabric is really soft and looks soft but since they are mostly polyester they don't wrinkle and will wash well. I got 2 packages and each packages come with one panel each. I'm not sure why people are saying on here 2 curtains come in a package because they don't. These are so thick that it would be a big package if two were in them. They fit my French doors perfectly and the ties can be used or not. They have Velcro on them so you can loosen them or make them tighter. They let a little light filter in when completely closed but it's very little.
