Goodbye Ladybugs
I've been fighting an infestation of ladybugs .... and I mean a HORRIBLE infestation. One tip I had heard was that ladybugs do not like citrus smells. So, I bought some of these candles to add to my anti ladybug arsenal. I no sooner got these out of the box when I fired two of them up and placed them in different areas of my apartment. Then I had to step out for a while and when I got back, the place smelled absolutely wonderful! Are the ladybugs gone? I can't completely tell but one thing is for darn sure, I've only sighted a very small fraction of the ladybugs that I was seeing from before. To be fair, I've taken a lot of other steps in my fight against the ladybugs. But these candles have certainly proven their worth. Oh yes, I'll be buying more regularly. Even after the bugs are all gone, these candles have made such a favorable impression that I'm going to make them a regular thing in this home.

Does not smell like citrus
This did not smell like citrus at all. It had an awful smell to it. I let it burn for 3 hours hoping for a different outcome. I eventually just put the lid back on and threw it out. Pretty disappointed. I dont know what im going to do with the other 3 jars that came in the box.

Soap smell yes, Citrus/Lemon smell no
It came in a box containing foam completely surrounding the glass container with a candle in it. It has a metal screw on lid so no capping it off after burning it for a while to keep the smoke from going into the room. When I initially smelled it, my husband and I agreed it smelled like some kind of laundry powder or dryer sheet from years gone by. I decided to burn it in the hopes it would emit some lemon or citrus smell when burned. I lit it and withing less than 2 minutes, I kid you not, litterly two minutes, the soap smell from the candle could be strongly smelled on the other side of a 12x24 foot room. Needless to say, this will not be burned for long. I was hopeful it would be a nice lemon or citrus candle I could burn for a long time. I get migraines from strong smells but seem to be able to tollerate fruit smells that do not have a flower component added to it. This is not one of those candles. I gave it 3 starts because if you can handle strong soap smells, this might be a nice candle for you, many candles have such a light smell to them no matter how long you burn it, you will never smell it. I was also impressed with the packaging. It lost two stars because the advertizement said it was a citrus/lemon candle. I do not smell any of that at all.

They work. After cooking in the house and wanting to get rid of the various odors from fried foods or anything else. We light a couple of these and within a couple of hours any smells have been dissipated.

It actually works
The candle works so good. We live in a small place and anytime we make bacon, chicken, or anything strong smelling, our house and clothes will absorb the smell. It’s not pleasant. The scent is a little overpowering at first but you can hardly smell it once it is lit. But it gets rid of the bad smells! Arrived in a beautiful package and was well packed so there were not any cracks or broken glass. I just wish the candles were bigger. Haven’t fully tested the burn time yet.
