"Blackout" no, "darkening" yes.

Bought these curtains as I started working 3rds and needed something to block out the light as my bedroom window gets an insane about of it during the day. Loved the color as I plan on painting my room a dark purple and thought the light sage would compliment it well. The material is smooth which I like as some blackout curtains have a very scratchy material that stresses me out and makes my skin crawl. Absolutely loved that there's multiple ways to hang it depending on preference. Honestly good curtains for the price and large enough to cover my window with some slight light shining through (which i expected since my window is wide). The only thing is that they are not blackout but room darkening. They didn't feel thin but there's light shining through the material itself. Which is fine and I'm going to keep them, my partner works days so he'll appreciate that since he can't get up if it's dark, but it'll take some time adjusting to for me. Still an improvement from my last set of curtains that blocked 0% of the daylight.
