This is a beautiful piece, well made, looks of a higher value than it actually costs.

When I open this, I was absolutely shocked and how good of a quality piece this really was. This is such a good value I would buy these over and over again as gifts.The ceramic figurine looks beautiful, the inscription on it is so well written, as well as easy to read. I have found that many of these trinkets, it is very difficult to read the font on them however this message displays very nicely but also doesn't take over the whole aesthetic of the piece.This is ship very well and a very well packaged box, with plenty of foam to keep it stable as well as prevent damage. This is important to me because so many of these things do come with a chip off of them and as a gift I like to make sure that the quality matches my intent.I don't think you will find something at this price point as nice as this particular piece.

Not my Knick Knack

This gift looks cheap right out of the box. It appears to be hard plastic. This seems like something you would find in a discount store. This is something you would give to someone you didn't care for but definitely not someone who has put in years as a good/great employee. The candle doesn't have much smell to it. I didn't burn it as I didn't like the minor smell that I did get when I opened it and placed my nose to it. I do not recommend this as a retirement gift even for someone that keeps different knick knacks.

Sloppy details

I get that this is hand painted, and that means there are supposed to be some human error, but there are too many details that scream sloppy work instead of hand crafted. Multiple areas have pain that is "outside the lines", especially the flower crown. Part of it isn't painted at all, and the parts that are painted make it look incomplete. Oddly, it's actually the same areas that are not painted in the stock close up picture, which makes me skeptical of the hand painted claim-- it's a real coincidence both are incomplete in the same way. My engraving also has some nicks, which just increases the sloppy look. It looks like a gift a child would make in school, not something made by an adult with care and precision.It does have some good traits. The size is good for a figurine (you can see it compared to a nail polish bottle in the pic). The candle and placard increase its gift potential.However, I would only use as a gift for someone you know will look at it from afar. Up close it's just meh.

This is a really great gift for someone who is retiring. The angel is very sweet and pretty looking. I love the card and what it says. The candle is my favorite though “it smells like it’s not my problem anymore”. Love it! I like that the angel is dark haired too. I would appreciate this as a gift. The price point for the value to me is good for a retirement gift like this.
