    Resin lion sculpture holds a bit of old school magic for Narnia fans.

    I ordered this AMOIENSIS Lion Head Wall Art Sculpture for Man Office Bedroom Wall Decoration, 8 inch Vintage resin sculpture for the wall of my office.I write fairy tale fantasy series under various pen names. My tiny little office is decorated in Early Fairy Tale; it’s full of castles, dragons, and crowns to help me stay in the right magical, fantastical mindset when I write.I also collect children’s literature, particularly British, and my office has lots of first and early editions of my favorite books and series, as well as decorative elements related to the books. This three dimensional lion’s head reminded me of Aslan, from the Narnia series, one of my very favorite series of books.This 8” round sculpture is made from resin; the three dimensional form uses light, darkness, and shadow as well as depth to create an artistic and lifelike lion that reminds me of the great Aslan. All he needs is a crown.I ordered this in the Antique Gold color, the faux aging and the deep shadows create a very pleasing look. This is probably molded or 3 d printed, but it has the feeling of a sculpted piece.This Aslan sculpture fits well in my study with the castles, crowns, and lamp made to look like the gas lamp at Lantern Waste. Fairy tales teach us about the world and about ourselves. I love the C.S. Lewis quote,”Someday, you will be old enough to read fairy tales again.” This regal, wise lion sculpture brings the memory of Aslan into my office; it’s perfect for any once upon a time King of Queen of Narnia.The sculpture has hooks on the back for hanging. It is round, about 8” tall and 8” wide. This could be cute in a child’s room or elegant in a living room, depending on how you style it. I saw Aslan, but if you’re not into fairy tales and fantasy, it’s a perfectly nice lion sculpture.

    Very beautiful, but not as dimensional as it appears

    Why did you pick this product vs others?:This lion head is very beautiful and a nicely sized piece for display! It's intricate and heavy, not cheap resin. The paint is deails are well done and it would make a lovely additional to a library or study. My only complaint is that it's not quite as dimensional as the listing makes it out to be. As you can see from my photos: it's only about 1.5" thick, so the lion's face is fairly smushed. Other than that, it's a lovely piece. I just didn't realize from the listing that it was quite so flat.

    Cooler than I expected

    I love this lion head art. I got one in silver and one in bronze and I think they complement each other very well. The size is in the listing, but it still looks a bit bigger than I expected. The detail is excellent with a really good use of shadows. They also feel very solid.I also want to comment on the overall vibe they give. They're just kind of cool and unique looking. They add a different element to the room... not so much animal/child like, but more so historical or adventure. I'm definitely a fan.
