I got these for my son's room so we could put baseball memorabilia on them from our upcoming season of MLB baseball. They're the perfect size and look great in his room. I'd like to start by saying I think that these are good, solid 4 stars. I noticed in the reviews a lot of the issues seem to be people do not know hoe to properly install drywall screws and/or they don't follow directions properly and go off script not knowing what they are doing.. If you follow the directions to a T, I believe you can get away with 22lbs support like it says. If you DO NOT follow the directions, you will probably only get about 10 lbs. These are not the super nice ones you can buy from lowes or homedepot. Think Walmart. If you're expecting more than that, your expectations are way to high. Most people don't bother or understand the importance of finding and using studs which I believe are greatly the issues here. Now I will write my experience and tips!I was prepared to go in with a plan of these would only support light weight items such and small light ups, childs books etc. I use my own drywall anchors, togglers is the brand I use. That is the ONLY brand I use and I highly suggest them. I never use the ones in kits because they are notoriously faulty. I get the 85lbs togglers anchors. Anyway, I only used 2 in each because I hadn't realized I was out. As I was installing these, I used a lever with the frame. Marked where I was going to install the anchors insuring the frame was even. I note on the frame I was going to install upside down because I didnt want my son to see the screws underneath. However, when I first held them up to the wall I noticed the way the frame was designed, that would make the shelves angle downward. If you were to follow the directions, the poles slanted slightly upwards. So I abandoned that idea and stayed with following thier up directions. Theyre perfect for what I want and anticipate. I could absolutely go in and put in more anchors but that wont change anything if a kid happens to lean on it because mine are installed ONLY ONTO THE DRYWALL NOT THE STUDS. If you put these into studs or concrete properly I have no doubt that they will support the 22lbs they say. The metal would break either way if you go above the 22 lbs, it is thin. This is what I stated of you are expecting more than walmart level at this cost, you are making a mistake. Please by mindful of a product like this. I would purchase these again and would love a size longer than what they offer!!
I have these floating shelves all over my house. The are made nice and sturdy and they come with simple instructions. They come it various sizes and can almost fit anywhere. These particular shelves are in my makeup closet and they look so great and organized.
These floating shelves were incredibly easy to assemble — the instructions were clear, and all the necessary hardware was included. It only took a short time to get them up on the wall. They look great and add a clean, modern touch to the space. Very happy with the quality and appearance!
Great size, easy to install. My bf was actually happy with how easy it was. Everything we needed to install came with it. I just use it for small items so can’t speak to weight but feels sturdy. They look really nice, worth the month imo.
I don't normally leave reviews, but these shelves have been a complete mess. I bought these because we thought they were large enough to go above the toilet in our bathroom and hold our toiletries in our super small apartment bathroom, and that they'd be nice enough for us to leave in place when we left. We got approval from our landlord on this product. However, from start to finish, they have been an utter disappointment. The wall anchors provided are the flimsiest things we've ever seen and snap under any kind of pressure of going into the wall. We tried doing it the normal way. They snapped off IN the wall - with no possible extrication method. We tried pre-drilling holes in the wall and using different (gentler) methods of screwing them. No luck. After trying several times (and filling the resulting GIANT holes in the wall with spackle after each try), we threw up our hands and thought "Maybe we can just screw it in without the anchors. Without the anchors, the shelves are wobbly, and one began to buckle off the wall after I placed my toothpaste, a small bottle of hair oil, and some facial moisturizer on it. Shelves are not supposed to jiggle when you put a finger on them. The metal wall piece made to slip the shelf onto literally bends as you pull the shelf off of it. We're now debating going to buy metal anchors, but we're at the point of giving up now because the metal wall bracket bows under VERY light pressure. Frustrated with this product and with the timing (we bought this before our wedding and leaving for our honeymoon, so we are unfortunately beyond the return window and can't even get our money back.) Frustrated because we will likely now not get our security deposit back. Frustrated because we can't use this and have to buy something else - again - to store our things and now, to cover large holes in the wall. Just. Plain. Frustrated. Don't buy this product.
