The build quality of the rail is genuinely robust, offering a sense of security that the whole thing won't come crashing down during a particularly dramatic curtain closing. The white coating is thick and resistant to scratches, which is fortunate given how many times it was probably bumped during the mounting process. It offers a professional look that instantly elevates a room from "college dorm" to "adult who has their life mostly together."On the technical side, the track is designed to bridge the gap between nine and twelve feet with a sliding mechanism that is fairly intuitive. The variety of hooks provided is a unique touch, allowing for a level of customization that usually requires a trip to a specialty hardware store. The track is slim enough to be unobtrusive, yet strong enough to support the weight of heavy, light-blocking fabric. One must ensure the rollers are all facing the same direction, or they will stage a miniature protest and refuse to move along the aluminum path.Setting the system up was an adventure in geometry and light construction that lasted slightly longer than a feature-length movie.
