Great value for the money. Provides privacy. Installation easy after searching for a video on YouTube. I used a power tool. Rollability A little difficult to close but easy to open the shade itself when in use. The look is very modern. Suggestion: They should provide a video on how to install it yourself.
This is a review for the Blackout Cordless Window Shades Cellular Honeycomb Shades Room Darkening Pleated Blinds for Windows in blue. I had looked at them in the winter, to keep out the wind, but was worried that they looked like they were made of paper. When they went on sale, I bought two for my kitchen, where I'd had roman blinds before (which had cords and broke), and assumed I'd have to ask someone to help me install them, since I don't have a power drill.But the bracket holes lined up with one hole on each side that had already been drilled for the old shades, so I just put in the screws to hold in the brackets, then popped the shade into the bracket (it will make a snapping sound when it's in place).I just use the white bottom part to pull them down or push them up; I didn't bother putting on the little plastic pull handle. And I love them! They do keep the summer sun out on hot days, and most likely since the side facing the window is white, they aren't absorbing the heat.The fabric is extremely thin and feels like paper. The description says the shades aren't water-resistant, so I'm careful to be sure not to have the window open below the shade, so they won't get wet when it rains. They look great and keep out all of the sun, since I bought them large enough to hang outside the frame of the window. I don't know if they're durable, but hope so, since they look very nice. Strongly recommend.
These blinds are great! Simple to install and use and they look great, they really tie the room together.
These definitely block out the light IF they fit the window perfectly AND you can find some way to keep them down. There is no weight on the bottom so I ended up putting Velcro on the bottom and the windowsill to keep it shut. They also loose their ability to stay up over time and use.
It was either this or residential tinting. We got quotes for the tinting and really considered it but in the long run these are single pane windows that’ll eventually need to be replaced so I looked for cellular instead. We used different screws than what it came with because these frames are old wood so we chose different ones so not to split the wood. They are Fully blackout for sure. Measurements are on point. They seem heavy like they’ll last a long time. They do keep the room cooler too which is the best part. It’s been in the mid 90s for 3 weeks and if we leave them down all day and leave the house, we come back and notice the room doesn’t feel warm. Will be taking down the old curtains now that we’re happy with these.I’ve had several family members come over and see the difference and all of them have wanted the link to order their own.We will probably get more for the other big window which will have to be outside mount so we’ll see how that goes but these were easy to install so I’m not worried about it.Curious to see how the tension holds up over time with a bunch of pulling but honestly this is still better than $2000-$3000 for tinting one window.
I bought these because of the color choices! Love the blue & how easy they were to install at our sliding glass doors. However, in less than 6 months of use, the elasticity of being able to push them up has declined significantly. We have to shake them back & forth to get them to roll up, or squeeze the honeycomb segments together. They do provide great black out from the sunlight. Maybe better suited for windows or places that don't need to raised & lowered daily. Disappointed
These shades were less costly than some competitors and deliver on everything they promised. We got navy blue for our bedrooms and they completely block the light from outdoor lighting at night and sun during the day. They were quick and easy to install and go up and down with ease. We are careful to only adjust them twice a day because they seem fragile, but I think it is just the type of product (we have never had these before). They are so clean and modern looking, I love the sleek look they give the room.
