READ THE DESCRIPTION

Allen Home states everything you need to know in the description. Allen Home even made sure to reach out to me and have me approve these things before they would process my order. The main things you need to know are size variation, color variation, wrinkles and shedding.SIZE— Very slight size variation as you can see in photos. I ordered 8x10 and mines about 1.5 inches short in length and 3 inches short on width (although width-wise, there are still some wrinkles from shipping so it will lengthen out as those wrinkles flatten out)SHEDDING—After about 2 weeks of vacuuming, the shedding has slowed/ pretty much stopped. It really was a lot at first and I was worried, but trust the process. With daily vacuuming the shedding does slow down, and it really doesn’t seem like it’s lost as much fiber as we had vacuumed up. The wool is packed SO densely that although my vacuum was full, the rug doesn’t look like it’s lost any fiber. It’s so dense I feel like it could afford to lose 20x more and still be a fine rug. Vacuuming has also helped slowly flatten out the wrinkles acquired from shipping.TEXTURE— I love the texture. It’s sturdy but not rough. Feels good on bare feet. The wool is packed very densely. The cotton backing is also lovely and soft, and doesn’t leave crap on my floor like our old rug with polypropylene backing. Since it is under our couch, I don’t feel the need to get a rug pad since this is gentle on my floors and it stays in place under the couch.COLOR— They say there can be a 10% color difference, but I feel ours is spot on, if not better! I love the variation and depth. A design choice that is worth mentioning that I didn’t realize is— when you get a medium to dark toned SOLID color rug, you will have to vacuum often. Lighter / patterned rugs tend to hide stuff better. But that’s okay because we vacuum often and this rug likes to be vacuumed.Overall I am very happy with my purchase. This is a quality rug and has been a fine addition to my space.Amazons “view in your room” feature was very helpful in helping us choose a size for this space.

Nice rug, but rough texture.

I purchased three different Allen Home rugs in the course of a few months. While this is a very nice rug, it is much rougher than the other two I purchased. It is not the type of rug that you would like to sit on while playing a board game or relaxing. If I had it to do over again, I would skip this one and get another of the softer Allen Home rugs. Very nice color and design. The picture is close to the actual color, it is more red than orange.
