I have no idea what the famous “Pink Palace” hotel actually smells like, but if this is even remotely close, sign me up for a permanent room. This fragrance is fresh, classy, and quietly luxurious without screaming “perfume aisle.”The opening is clean and green with banana leaf and aloe, then it softens into gardenia and jasmine with just enough brightness from bergamot and green apple. There’s a subtle saltwater note that keeps it airy, not heavy, and the amber at the end adds a smooth, polished finish. It smells expensive in a calm, grown-up way.The oil quality is excellent. A few drops go a long way, and it doesn’t have that artificial or oily after-smell some diffuser oils suffer from. A sample-sized bottle. Supposed to be Beverly Hills Hotel lobby scent.

For those who don't know ... The 'Pink Palace' refers to the Beverly Hills Hotel in California, of which this is supposed to be a replica of their lobby scent. Lobby scents have become a 'thing' and it's almost impossible to find a 5-star hotel without a heavily perfumed lobby anymore. I have visited this hotel many times ... and this doesn't smell like I remember the lobby smellingHaving said that, it does smell like a high end hotel lobby with a kind of generic blend of fresh and citrusy scents. Take its description with a grain of salt ... the Beverly Hills Hotel is famous for its painted wallpaper with banana leaves ... I am quite sure banana leaves don't smell like anything, yet it's listed as a scent profile here.I get more lemon-based citrus than gardenia ... I was worried this would be too floral-based as gardenia is a feminine-smelling flower. There isn't much of a floral scent here. Only a slight one. It smells fresh and tropical without the sweetness that some tropical essential oils add.I have a 'hotel lobby style scent machine' for scenting my home that broadcasts 1500 square feet. I also have a small ultrasonic misting diffuser. This bottle is so small, my machine would go through the oil in a few days ... so I use it in my ultrasonic diffuser. It takes 4 - 6 drops and that lasts several hours.Buying a big bottle is the way to go because the bigger the size, the better value you get. This is a very tiny bottle, as my picture shows, and not a good value for anything other than to try out the scent to see if you like it. I would consider this a 'trial-sized' or sample bottle. If you like it, the value is better on a larger bottle.Overall, this is not really essential oil as one of the other reviewers mentioned. It is not designed to scent potpourri or candles. It is a lighter oil designed to be used in diffuser machines. To me, it has a bit of a synthetic/chemical scent vs. natural ... but is still classy and I would use it. I prefer Aroma 360 which seems of higher quality ... but much more expensive than this brand. While it doesn't smell like how I remember the Beverly Hills Hotel lobby smelling, it is a classy and fresh scent that I might use again. Thankfully, it did! I use my essential oils a little differently and add them to my A/C filter so the smell wafts through the entire house. For the 3-4 days the smell lasts, I truly do feel like I've teleported into a ritzy hotel somewhere in the islands. Unfortunately, the smell runs out and I go back to reality. At $10/bottle, you really have to use essential oils more "correctly" for this to be worthwhile. Unless you are spraying into an inclosed area or your house is really air-tight, the smell fades all too quickly.

Lovely walk in a garden

I think this fragrance oil smells amazing. I don’t have the most refined nose in the world but I definitely smell both the gardenia and green leaf and just a bit of jasmine (which I love). It smells like a highly fragrant garden after a rain.I used a few drops of this in my regular essential oil diffuser (even though they usually say to avoid fragrance oils) and didn’t have any issues. I used it in my bedroom first but then moved it into my bathroom and when I closed my eyes, it almost felt like I was showering outside.I know this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but I really like it. It comes across to me as just the right amount of floral femininity without going overboard. I also really like that this is made in the USA so I can trust the ingredients more.
