Beautiful sconce. Goes with any decor, definitely recommend.
I am not much into gothic decor, however, I love this metal wall sconce. This set is very well made. sturdy and looks wonderful. Very easy to assemble, easy to hang with a nice weight, not to heavy or to light. Great value for the money. I plan on hanging these above my couch in the living room. I have purchased battery operated candles to bring in a little light for the evening. This sconce would look great in any area, such as, over a piano, in a dining room, bedroom, or entry way. The ambiance of candles always feel welcoming and warm. I normally prefer real candles over the battery ones, but because this will be used as a nigh light so to speak, I felt the battery operated candles would work best. I have a set of 3 candles that look real other than the light on top, so I plan on purchasing two more for this sconce. My decor does not fit the gothic design, however this item works very well in an array of decorations. This product will also work well for Halloween decorations. So you cannot go wrong with a well-made, good price and beautiful sconce. Definitely recommend.

Buyer Beware...UPDATE.
It's pretty, but it's not black like it said in the listing. It's like a dark rusty brown. Putting it together was a little difficult, as the screws on the back werent aligned properly to tighten the arms into place. Overall, I will end up keeping it, but I am going to have to paint it black. I just think for nearly $40 it should have been at least the right color.Update: I ended up returning it before I did anything to it. I decided against painting it and tried to put it up regardless of the color, as it grew on me. It fell apart and got much worse during that process. Tightening the back screws to put the arms in place was a nightmare. The decorative cups around the spots for the taper candles would touch the wall. The candles became floppy because the arms wouldn't tighten up. It was a whole mess.

This thing looks very good is quite solid but not super heavy.
This sconce looks like it was pulled straight out of an old farmhouse, which is exactly the vibe I wanted. The metal has that perfect aged look without feeling like it’s actually going to fall apart on the wall. Putting it up was simple since it’s surprisingly lightweight for its size, so you won't need a construction crew to help. It feels like a solid deal because it fills up a lot of wall space for the price. The metal is thin enough to keep it manageable but sturdy enough to hold five candles without sagging. Overall, it’s a great way to add some character to a room without spending a fortune.

Many adjustments to crooked metal parts were required during assembly
I am almost sure the description said "black" when I ordered this but, oh well... The dark rusty brown ain't bad. It's definitely got a vintage/antique vibe, anyway!Assembly was simple, but the fine tuning it required was neither simple nor easy. The 3 brackets don't sit snuggly in their setting making it difficult to achieve symmetry especially while tightening the screws in back.*TIP* The simplest approach with the best outcome involves inserting ALL 3 BRACKETS before tightening the screws.*Note* The metal decoration on the front of the base was crooked and needed to be bent out of the way on mine before I could center the middle bracket... Check that first.Hold the base level horizontally, screws facing up with the inserted brackets dangling towards the floor. This allows gravity to do most of the work for you. The outer brackets each have a point next to the middle one that makes visually centering them and balancing their height easier from this angle. Once the inner points are matched in height and distance from the center, tighten the screws just enough to stop them from wobbling or shifting on their own. Then check the front view once to make any mild corrections if necessary before tightening them all the way.*By "ALL THE WAY" I mean as tight as they'll go without stripping the screws.*This metal is heavy and you'll want these brackets to be as stable as possible for the next step... unless you're a glutton for punishment. 🤔*Fine tuning*Some parts required some uh... Aggressive negotiation. After screwing on the candle bases they seemed to point in all different directions! It took patience and some firm, controlled manipulation in order to bend them into an agreeable position. I haven't actually finished that part yet, so you may still be able to see at least one crooked candle base in my photo. As for mounting it on the wall.. the mount in back has 2 horizontal holes to hang it from. (See other photo) In other words, you need to carefully mark the placement of your hanging hardware before drilling. It came with two pairs of screws with drywall anchors, and the extra set may just come in handy if your measurements and level aren't precise. You may have noticed in my photos that I cheated by tying it to an arch rather than mounting it on the wall. 😅 However, I feel it's worth mentioning that the base on mine still appears slightly crooked in relation to the brackets. That much may be difficult to see in a photo, so to clarify the point.. I suspect that the finished candelabra would sit crooked if I actually mounted it with level screws. It's a correction that might've been successfully addressed during the assembly and "negotiation" process, but that would've required more patience than I could muster at the time.*Beware*The metal decoration on the base is slightly off center making it difficult to visualize a precisely centered placement for the brackets, particularly when viewing from the front.(..a good reason to let gravity make the big decisions). The off-center base decoration makes this appear inherently a-symmetrical either way, if you're picky like me, though. So, I am sorry I don't have an easy fix for that. *Sigh* Good luck! With all the shiny pleated curtains and draping fabric surrounding this as well as my mounting "cheat" allowing gravity to center it for assembly as well as display, I've lucked into an elegant overall appearance. This candelabra would still look nice on a wall though... Someone with a more skilled eye might have less difficulty centering the parts during assembly, and even though I don't feel confident that my finished piece would appear level when mounted, I'm sure more aggressive "negotiators" than me would be able to whip this into shape. You know.. tell the stubborn crooked bits to *Sit up straight! Stay put and look nice! Obey the directions and respect my authority!* Something like that, anyway. 😂The difficulty I've had correcting the crooked bits speaks to its structural integrity. The durable finish survived my initially clumsy assembly effort without a single scratch as well. So if you don't mind putting in a little elbow grease for a final appearance, then I'd absolutely recommend this. It's a bit spendy, considering, but the *finished* product is worth the $35, even without a thoughtfully added rebate for customer labor. 🤣

not sturdy and assembly required
I was drawn to this Gothic wall candle holder because the design is really striking, and visually it does deliver. The dark rusty brown finish looks great on the wall and gives off a dramatic, old-world vibe that works well in a living room or hallway. With candles in place, it definitely makes a statement. However, there are a few downsides worth mentioning. First, it comes in multiple pieces and has to be assembled, which was more annoying than expected. It’s not difficult, but it takes time and feels tedious for something that looks like it should arrive mostly put together. Also, once assembled, it’s not as sturdy as I hoped. It’s fine for decorative use, but it doesn’t feel super solid or heavy-duty. I wouldn’t recommend bumping it or using very heavy candles. As long as it’s mounted carefully and treated as décor rather than a functional piece, it’s okay.Overall, it looks nice from a distance and adds character to the wall, but between the assembly process and the lighter, less sturdy feel, it didn’t fully meet my expectations. Good for decorative purposes, just don’t expect premium construction.
