It's been plugged in for 2 days no smell or fragrance from unit
This puts out a slight scent, works best in a small room. I can’t figure out how to schedule it to come on at certain times, very frustrating. It I a nice design, and looks great plugged into the socket, I just wish it had a stronger scent and it would program. I ordered a different scent, it hasn’t come in yet, the refills are pricey!
This home fragrance diffuser is an excellent choice for those who want a high-quality, app-controlled scenting experience. Designed for rooms ranging from 100 to 500 square feet, it provides consistent and customizable fragrance diffusion that enhances any space. The included citrus scent refill offers a bright and refreshing aroma that is noticeable without being overwhelming, making it a great choice for those who enjoy clean and uplifting scents. One of the standout features of this diffuser is its smart technology integration. The app control is seamless and intuitive, allowing users to adjust fragrance intensity, set schedules, and monitor usage with ease. The ability to control the diffuser remotely through a smartphone ensures that a room always smells fresh upon arrival. Additionally, the device is compatible with Alexa, enabling voice commands for added convenience. This feature is particularly useful for those who prefer hands-free operation or want to incorporate it into a larger smart home ecosystem. The quality of the diffuser itself is impressive. It has a sleek and modern design that blends well with various home decor styles. The build feels sturdy, and the overall construction suggests longevity. Unlike traditional diffusers that require constant refilling with water and essential oils, this model utilizes scent capsules, which eliminate spills and messes while providing consistent performance. The hypoallergenic formulation makes it safe for families and pets, an important consideration for households with children or animals sensitive to strong scents. The citrus fragrance refill included in the bundle is delightful. It has a well-balanced blend of fresh, zesty notes that create a bright and energizing atmosphere. Unlike artificial air fresheners that can smell synthetic or overpowering, this scent is refined and natural. It distributes evenly throughout the room without becoming too intense. The longevity of the scent cartridge is also commendable, as it lasts a good amount of time, even with frequent use. The ability to adjust the intensity through the app allows for full customization, making it easy to create a subtle background scent or a more prominent fragrance experience.Despite its premium quality and advanced features, this diffuser is on the pricier side. However, the cost is justified by its performance, convenience, and the high-end fragrance experience it delivers. The initial investment is worth it for those who value a hassle-free, consistent, and luxurious scenting solution. The app functionality alone makes it far superior to traditional diffusers or plug-in air fresheners that lack customization.Overall, this is a fantastic home fragrance system that delivers on both quality and performance. The combination of smart technology, elegant design, and premium fragrance options makes it an excellent choice for those who want a superior scenting experience. While it comes at a higher price point, the convenience, longevity, and refined fragrance quality make it a worthwhile investment. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their home ambiance with an easy-to-use, effective, and beautifully designed diffuser.
First off, I was super excited about this. Aera's promise of no VOCs was important to me, and although the refills are expensive, I can get behind the cost if the performance is there. Same for the actual unit; they aren't cheap. I do appreciate that they are offering this bundle because normally you have to buy the unit separate from the fragrance.Well, it arrived, and I spent 30-45 minutes trying to get the thing to even connect to wifi. The app shows that it gets through the wifi and cloud connection step, but the "registering" step always fails. I restarted it multiple times (+/- button hold), restarted my wifi multiple times, and tried the guest wifi and the primary wifi. I turned WPA3 off (per some random troubleshooting article I found.) I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. I turned off the 5 GHz (leaving only 2.4 GHz.) I did basically every permutation, and I never could get it to work. I gave up, waited a few hours, tried again, and it connected on the first attempt, so there must have been an outage?Back to the cost, though. If you can get the wifi working, you are able to schedule when your fragrance runs to help reduce the cost by only using it during times you define as active. The fragrance that came with mine is Citrus, and it smells great. I'd definitely say you'll want to keep the unit in a relatively small and confined space, though, to really notice the throw. Aera is really bad with consistency, it seems, and in some places, they say 100-500 square feet. In other places, they say 200-400. In some places, they make sure to call out that your ceilings shouldn't exceed 12 feet. In many places, they say it works best for rooms up to 400 square feet. I do understand that all of this can impact the fragrance dispersion, but I think they just need to be consistent in how they communicate. In another lack of consistency, it's important to note that the scent capsules come in 3 different sizes (Aera, Aera Mini, Aera Go.) This unit takes the Aera Mini ones. On the Aera Mini box that came with mine, there was a checkmark for 12.5 mL and a separate (non-checked) box for 9 mL? I don't know if Aera Mini are always 12.5 mL and the 9 mL is the Aera Go? Or if certain Aera Mini fragrances are 12.5 mL and others are 9 mL? But, in general, I found it really hard to find out how much fragrance was in each capsule, which I'm sure is intentional to make it hard to compare costs vs directly buying oils. You'd also expect that the capsules would minimize your need to touch oils or fiddle with them, but I still managed to get oils on my hands taking the plastic stoppers out of the top/bottom of the capsule. And, even after a few minutes of the unit running, I could see what appeared to be an oily/shiny surface right around the opening on the top of the capsule.Next, they talk about the life of the fragrances. In some places, they talk about hours of use (up to 800 hours.) Then, in other places, they say up to 600 hours (sometimes in graphics, sometimes in text.) In other places, they talk about how many days of use (up to 60 days.) Again, some consistency would be great. They also advertise clearly that the units are "Pet and Family" safe, but on their website they have a section called "Great for Pets," which led me down this rabbit hole of trying to figure out if all fragrances are pet-safe, or is it only the ones listed in "Great for Pets." Based on what I found, supposedly all are pet friendly (even when not in "Great for Pets") but to me, this is another miss on consistent communication. The unit itself blends well into the room. I like that it can be plugged directly into the wall/outlet, but make sure your outlets are properly oriented. If they aren't, the unit will not work. The plug does not rotate, and it cannot be used on its side or upside down. The unit itself isn't silent. It isn't loud at all, but in a quiet room, you'll likely be able to hear when it "runs." It has some sort of air pump-type mechanism that kicks on.So, overall, this works, but is still a bit of a miss for me with the troubles, inconsistencies, and costs. My advice to their team would be to slow down, refine their core value proposition, and make sure they consistently deliver on that.
You barely smell it , does not diffuse well
This mini home fragrance diffuser has been a wonderful addition to our home. The citrus scent is refreshing, and it fills the room with a pleasant aroma that’s not overpowering. I love that it's Alexa compatible and app-controlled, making it super convenient. It’s also family and pet safe, which is a big plus. Highly recommend for anyone looking to create a fresh and soothing atmosphere in their home.
