I really like the pattern on this rug!

This Abani Luca area rug is beautiful! It measures 4x6 and is a thick, heavy, Berber-style rug with a very sturdy jute back. It's not a coarse Berber-style, but don't expect it to be as soft as a plush rug. This type of rug also tends to be more durable than a plush style, so it's a good trade. It is a little on the thicker side, so door clearance may be an issue if it's placed near a door.The color is a true, neutral beige, and there is no variation in color. The large cross-hatch pattern gives an almost basket weave appearance which adds texture and interest. I actually really like the way the back side of this rug looks, and I would have been happy if it was the front. I'm actually considering that it could be reversible if you placed a gripper pad under it.If you're looking for a machine washable rug, this is not it. This is a traditional carpet that can be easily vacuumed. You could spot clean with carpet cleaner, but if you choose to use a shampooer, you will need a plan to elevate the rug to allow the jute back to completely dry.I have many machine washable area rugs, and my biggest complaint about them is they're hard to vacuum because the vacuum tries to eat them. You will have no problem vacuuming this type of rug.

Great, neutral rug

I was thrilled when this arrived rolled up. I have encountered so many rugs that are folded and end up creased forever no matter what you do. This unrolled beautifully and the only adjustment I needed to do was reverse roll one edge to flatten it out. There was only a very slight “new rug” smell that quickly dissipated. The color is a lovely neutral, light beige that will coordinate with most anything. It’s power loomed so the loops and weaving are precise and neat, and the edging is tight. The pattern is high-low, with the higher sections being extra soft. Overall it’s a low-pile rug. Although it’s soft, there isn’t much cushion effect so you might want to add a rug pad, and/or you may want to add a non-slip pad. I haven’t needed to spot clean it yet, just light vacuuming. I haven’t noticed any shedding. Nice rug!

A calm neutral rug that fits anywhere

Well Made, Not Non-Skid

This is a very nice rug, but it is NOT NON-SKID, so you need to get something to put underneath if you're going to put it on a wood floor, as I have in my apartment. Given that information, I think $70 is a bit high for a rug that will slide all over your floor unless you purchase a non-skid rug mat.That being said, it is well made, and very comfy on bare feet. This rug has a bit of a pattern so it's raised up a little, which is nice. I think the coloring is nice as ivory and beige, but that could differ as they make batches of these rugs I'm sure.It's true to size (4'x6').I took one star off for the rug not being non-skid.

Poor Quality, Shorter than 4'X6'

This rug is 3.5 inches shorter all the way around, making it much smaller than 4X6. It looks awkward in every room I have placed it in because it appears shrunken. The corners will not lay flat, no matter how much weight I have placed on them. The fabric is very thin and not at all soft. The backing is rough I can feel it when I walk on the rug. The edging frays easily and some of the carpet was already pulled and continues to pull despite this rug being placed in a low traffic area. The grey color is not consistent throughout the rug and looks faded in some sections. The design idea is great, but this falls short in execution. This is a very low quality rug and definitely not a good value for the money. There is also a chemical odor that will not go away, even after 3-weeks.

Not perfect but nice color and feel

Overall it’s an okay rug. The color is very nice and neutral. The raised squares are soft and squishy to walk on. It’s quite thick if you’re used to the thinner, machine washable rugs. This is not machine washable, so bear in mind it will need to cleaned the old fashioned way. I do have a couple of complaints—the first is that the raised squares are cut off in size at the ends of the rug so it looks uneven and a bit unsatisfying. My second gripe is that there was a STRONG chemical smell coming from the bottom of the rug that is likely VOCs off gassing. I had to leave it outside for two days to air it out before bringing it back in.

Like my dad used to say…

This rug arrived in perfect condition…rolled up, with little paper-cloth covers over each end to protect the edges, wrapped in thick plastic, & well packaged in a sturdy box. It laid fairly flat, fairly quickly, and I really like the look of the design, weave, & texture. It’s a relatively low rug, but still feels soft underfoot (although it has no rubber backing or anything, so I’d recommend some sort of rug pad just to keep it from sliding). And being made of polypropylene, it’s durable, easy to clean, and pet hair doesn’t stick that well…with our two pups, it’s been a great choice. But where this rug really blew me away was the price…at the time of this review, this rug is selling for $18. It’s like my dad used to say: “I don’t know how they can afford to evenmake it for that little.”.
