Well made and better materials than average non-wooden frames

Very well made, matted, and the frame is actually textured.This little frame is better made and looking than the average, not wooden frames that are more popular these days due to their lower price. I got a set of several not too long ago and while those were well priced, they were made to look like they had the texture of wood on the frames. The frames had a paper layer designed to look like wood, but the moment you touched it it felt smooth and not at all like wood. This frame is made with wood veneer and it actually feels like wood and, therefore, it feels better quality. Because it is textured, I could see this being painted any desired color, from white to black and everything in between. Because the surface doesn't appear to have any finish or coating on it (if it does it is very thin, not necessarily a negative) it could take paint with little-to-no prep at all.As is, it would fit a so-called boho, Mid Century, or minimalist anesthetic very well.Size wise it is as described and fits a borderless 5x7 picture with no issues.It can be hanged in portrait and landscape modes, or be placed on a flat surface, and all the hardware to do so feels tight and securely attached to the thick cardboard backing.I love this little frame and I feel it is well priced, and would get it again.

Picture perfect

This frame is lightweight and attractive — it's solid wood veneer and is not just the paper sticker that's smooth and peels easily! If you touch this, it's got the texture and grooves and everything, so I'm definitely a fan of the natural look and feel. It's 5x7, so you can either remove the nice-quality thicker beveled white matting and use it for a 5x7 pic, or you can leave in the matting and put in a 4x6 pic or whatever size between that and the 5x7 where you want to narrow the visual focus. The metal closures on the back move easily but fit securely, providing the correct amount of tension to hold in the back. It has instructions, though it's all simple to use. the stand works in both portrait and landscape orientations, though the metal comb for hanging would only really work in the portrait orientation. That piece of hardware was black, not silver, but I don't think the consistency matters since you wouldn't see it under most circumstances. The plexiglass is great for resisting scratches and breaks — comes protected by film on both sides, so make sure you remove both if you want the best transparency. Overall, this is a great little frame that's neutral enough to work across decor styles. At $9.99, it would be tempting to get something at 3/4 price at a craft store, but in that case, you do get what you pay for. I'd love to see it be a little less expensive, but quality is always worth considering.

Good neutral picture frame

This is a very nice looking neutral color just plain frame. There’s nothing to detract from what is being framed. I put off doing a review of it because I wanted to put a picture in it and add that to my review, but I still haven’t found the picture I want to put in it. I like the fact that you can put a 4x6 in it using the mat that’s in it or take the mat out and put a 5x7 in it. I have a favorite 5x7 that’s going in it as soon as I locate it! The frame seems to be good quality and the color will go with just about any decor. I think it would be at home in a living room, bedroom, nursery or playroom, really just anywhere you might want a picture.

Holding Precious Memories (& Teen Drama) Like a Champ!!!!

I got this 5x7 natural wood frame to display my niece's prom picture & let me tell you, it is working harder than the chaperones did on that night!!!The wood veneer finish looks classy && grown up!!
