Pretty and washable!

I've got several of these very thin washable rugs, so I knew exactly what to expect when I ordered the Zomfy 5x7 Area Rugs for Living Room: Washable Rug Vintage Moroccan Soft Non-Slip Rugs Stain Resistant Low Pile Indoor Carpet for Bedroom Dining Room Nursery Playroom (Beige, 5'x7').It is very thin, as are all the comparable ones. It comes folded into a neat little packet, which is great for shipping (or storing, if you change out your rugs for the seasons), but that does mean you may have some fold lines immediately after opening. Do not despair! The fold lines will mellow out and disappear with time.The nap is very, very soft. It feel sooo lovely on bare feet. My boy could not stop sitting on the floor and running his hand over the rug while he was talking to me. (If you've met an aspie with sensory issues, you can imagine the scene well. He loved the feel, both with and against the "grain" of the nap lol)This rug has a non-slip backing, but it is not a heavy-duty non-slip backing like you'd find in a thicker rug. It is possible to scoot the rug with your foot. It won't slip and cause you to fall, but it isn't stuck in place, either. If you're considering this rug for a high-traffic area—especially for someone with unsure footing or with kids who run everywhere at top speed—you may want to put a little grip tape on the ends.My plan for the rug, however, is on my office floor. I will soon be moving my office from upstairs to a spare bedroom downstairs, and I wanted to cover the hardwood floor a bit because my 1940s house is cold and drafty, and I know from using a very similar rug in my living room that just that thin amount makes a difference. The very muted colors and design of this rug is exactly what I'm hoping for there, too. I don't want the rug to be the star of the show.This rug is washable. I have an old washer and dryer (I mean really old. Bought the washer in 1990 and the dryer in 1991), so they aren't huge, and I baby them so they'll last forever, so I won't be washing this rug at home. I will take it to the laundromat when it needs washing. So it's washable, and that's great. What it isn't, at least for me, is vacuumable. My vacuum, even in hard floor mode, and even with the suction turned down to its lowest, sucks the rug right up off the floor. So what I do is sweep the rug with a broom, and that works great.At a price under $40, the few "negatives" (none of them bother me a bit) seem like nothing. It's a bargain, and a pretty, soft bargain at that.After opening the rug and trying it out for a few days, I had to fold it back up for a while because I'm waiting for hubs to do some drywall repair and painting in that room before I can move my office in there, and it looks like today may be the day he starts it, but when it's finished, I'll take pics and update my listing.

Elegant and perfect for daily use!

I ordered this rug for the design and color scheme. I love the light themed colors that pair well with any decor and could be used in any space of our home.The 5’ x 7’ rug arrived folded but without creases and packaged nicely. Immediately upon opening and laying flat for photos, our kitties had to come investigate with me. The rug is so soft and feels wonderful whether you walking or sitting on it.Its low pile and neutral colors make it beautiful in the room. The woven fabric gives it a cozy and welcoming vibe and you just have to touch it. It is thin and lightweight making it easy to transfer or reposition.There is a slip proof backing that would probably adhere to wooden floors better but we have tile. I have attached double sided tape on the four ends as we have cats and I can’t stand adjusting a rug daily. Placement of this rug will determine your need for an additional backing to ensure it doesn't slide around. For us, this isn’t really an issue as it is in the living room and not in a direct walkway.Cleaning is a breeze and the rug arrived with a nice print out from the manufacturer on care tips. I found this to be useful and a really nice bonus! From vacuuming to deep cleaning the steps are included. I haven’t had to machine wash it only spot clean and fur removal and both have been with minimal effort.Overall, this is a quality rug that looks high end without the hefty price tag!

A Lightweight, Low-Maintenance Rug That Looks Better Than It Tries To Be

This rug is decent quality, just not the thick, plush kind that swallows your feet. It’s definitely on the thinner side, but that’s also kind of the point. What it lacks in thickness, it makes up for in practicality and versatility.Visually, it’s really pretty. The style is minimalist with a boho feel, so it works well in a lot of spaces without overpowering the room. It looks like a “real” rug, not something cheap or temporary, even though it’s clearly designed to be easygoing and functional.Because it’s very lightweight, you do need to be mindful of staining, especially with spills. The upside is that cleaning it is ridiculously easy. You can throw it straight in the washer and hang it to dry, which already puts it ahead of most thicker rugs that trap dirt, crumbs, and mystery debris forever. It vacuums easily, nothing gets embedded in it, and maintenance is minimal.Size-wise, it’s very large, which makes it feel more substantial once it’s laid out, even though the material itself is thinner. I’d describe this as a great “placeholder” rug. Perfect if you want something that looks polished without the commitment or hassle of a heavy, high-pile rug.Overall, it’s beautiful, easy to maintain, and priced really well. You’re not buying this for luxury thickness. You’re buying it because it looks good, cleans easily, and works with real life. For that purpose, it’s absolutely a great value.
