Bright and fun decor for an Easter centerpiece
These are adorable. I’m a total peep lover… and I have to say that once these little guys popped into shape they almost looked edible! Don’t eat them. They are spongey foam!I expected them to need to inflate for a while after being vacuum packed, but these jumped into shape right away. I think I might have had one bunny (not even a whole row) who has a little crease in it. I also didn’t have to put them in water, which I had expected to need to do.The peep sponges come connected just like marshmallow ones, in runs of 4. The material is not the kind of sponge you would use for dishes—it’s more like those egg shell foam bed toppers but a lot less dense than those. I don’t think they are very sturdy, and I would definitely not give them to a baby or small child who might try to chew them, as I think pieces would easily be nibble off. That said, I have them in a vase without water and I think they will hold up quite well and be easy to store and use season after season. My vase was a bit too wide for 8 peep bunnies around (two rows ), so I cut some individual peeps off to fill in the gaps, and I think it turned out really well! I’m very happy with this purchase and plan to use these Easter after Easter. I may also put some faux flowers in the vase… but I don’t yet have any I really like.
