Perfect addition to the backyard decor
This is a nice display when assembled. I think this could be displayed year round, not just at Christmas. The size is just right for indoor or outdoor decor. The remote was garbage and never worked but the downloadable APP works great. You can control brightness, patterns and timers. Couple issues i have are: the trunk and base are wrapping/tape and i’m not sure of the durability outdoors. That said i feel this would do better indoors or under outdoor structures. The palm leaves are wire so you can adjust them but i don’t feel they will stand up to constant bending. I would recommend permanent placement or storing assembled. The price seems a little high but overall pleased with quality and appearance.
Lots of compliments from neighbors. Works great with app
Very cute, easy to set up and assemble. Incredibly bright, even in the daylight. Don't expose anyone prone to seizures while scrolling through the settings!
Absolutely beautiful . Worth the money.
What I gotta ask myself is if I actually paid for this thing, would I be happy? And I think overall, yes, I would be. But I can understand why some people would not.I’ll be honest, when you open the thing, your first reaction is going to be, “what is this cheap piece of crap?”. It is not beautiful up close, and it doesn’t scream classy. But it gets better from there (well, mostly). It’s easy to set up; and once it is and you step back from it, it actually looks pretty good. Let’s be honest, these things are not meant to be viewed up close in the light. When it’s dark and all lit up, you forget how crappy it looked out of the box. It’s also pretty sturdy. There are a good number of patterns you can set the lights to. The cheap little remote that it came with did not work for me, but there is an app that you download that replaces its function. I like that you can set the lights to a timer, and it has worked great for me so far.Probably the oddest part about this is that it comes with a horseshoe shaped “balloon” that you fill with water to use as the weight around the base. That would worry me with kids. The plastic seems sturdy enough (unless you take something sharp to it, then it’s splitting wide open) and it hasn’t caused issues for me yet, but I’m not a fan of placing large amounts of water around electrical items made overseas. This is the big reason for me giving this four stars.Overall, I think it looks great in my house. It’s not your typical Christmas tree, but it definitely brings out a festive atmosphere when the lights are low and it’s doing its thing.
I cannot express how excited I was to receive this product. I had no idea what in the world I was going to do with it, but who doesn't want a 6 ft palm tree!?The instructions were pretty good and the tree was really easy to assemble by myself. I'd say with the leaves and everything, it's taller than 6ft.The tree is made up of sections that fit together and tighten with thumb screws - no special tools needed. Seems like metal and plastic composition, mostly. The lights are led in a little ribbon that you have to wrap from the leaves down to the base once its assembled. The lights in the leaves are green and the ones around the trunk are warm white. The leaves themselves have wire inside them and are super easy to shape however you want. They are all bent upward for shipping and need to be positioned.Everything fits into a metal base that stands just fine on our hard floor, but the box did come with stakes and a water bladder for weight if you were to use this outdoors or something. There is an in-line switch that I believe is the IR receiver as well that you can use to cycle the lights through the various modes. There are several variations of flashing, fading and strobing that you can set. Some of the modes seemed a little extreme/too much. My favorite is just the constant 'on' mode. One tip from the instructions is that you can long-press the button to set it to the constant on mode. From there, you can double click the button to turn the tree on or off, remembering the last setting. The tree came with an ir remote control that does have a battery in it with one of those little plastic tabs that you have to pull out. I wasn't able to get the remote to work even after pulling that tab out and even reseating the battery. I didn't have an extra battery to try, but may get one eventually. This wasn't an issue for me as there is also an app (Hello Fairy) that you can use to control the tree, which I chose to use. This connects to your tree via Bluetooth and allows you to set the different modes, adjust the brightness of the lights, set a schedule for on/off events and even have the tree sync with music. The music sync feature uses your phone's microphone to pick up near by sounds and flash the tree lights accordingly. I feel like this is a cool feature but could use some work. The app is pretty basic and took me a minute to figure out exactly as it looks like it's probably used for other products as well. They've got a good start, though. The app worked well and the schedule I set has worked perfectly so far.The tree is just so festive and pretty. Definitely one of my favorite novelty purchases lately. I think it's probably a pretty decent value for the money based on all the different options and features when you consider the app.
