I bought this to sit on top of my shoe cabinet in the entryway. It’s perfect for holding keys!
This bowl is great!
This is a very nice decorative bowl. The bottom half of the bowl on the outside has a nice, uniformly staggered tapering to the bottom in concentric rings/circles like a round pyramid in reverse that looks really nice, while the inside of the bowl is uniform and smooth. It appears like a finely brushed brass finish to me, and it weighs a little less than I anticipated, at just about 11 ounces. The thinnest part of the bowl is the lip at perhaps just over an 1/8" thick. I have had Tibetan singing bowls of comparable size that felt significantly heavier than this. I would have guessed it were made of a high-quality aluminum by the feel of its weight for its size, but the ad states it is stainless steel--perhaps it is an alloy or else hollow in its thicker area near the base. Either way, it looks great and it is completely smooth and uniform throughout, seamless, and it will add to our dining room decor. It will look great filled with fruit, pinecones, gourds, etc. on our table--especially over the holidays--making it very versatile. It will look great at easter with Easter grass and painted eggs within. I specifically asked 'Rufus' if the bowl can indeed accommodate real fruit, safely, as a food-safe material, and Rufus says it is indeed a food-safe material described as a 'fruit bowl for the counter' to hold fresh fruit. I would feel comfortable with fresh fruit that has a skin to be peeled or can be washed from the bowl, but I personally wouldn't go beyond that with any decorative bowl. It looks warm and inviting, and I see it as a good value.
Extremely tiny for the price, I thought it would be bigger. I will say the quality is nice and I love the shiny gold color.
Nice bowl, well made. We have it on the console table by the front door for keys. It can hold a family of 4’s keys easily. It’s not big enough for a fruit bowl. It could easily be used for something more formal too! Nice and thick and heavy enough where it’ll last, but not too heavy. It’s about the size of a large dessert plate as a reference. Good price for the quality.
This bowl is an ideal accent piece for your home! Muted gold is very popular right now for fixtures, kitchens, lights, and decorative table settings. It looks classy and elegant! The bowl is quite light and has a very smooth inside. The sides have geometric rings tapering down to the bottom. I personally I’m not a fan of that part of the design, but I can see how others who prefer that style would love it. I am currently using it as a candy bowl on my Christmas table. The gold looks absolutely lovely against the wood table itself, and also my cute Christmas placemats. The gold pops and gives it a festive feel. I would be hesitant to put anything sharp in the bowl for fear of scratching it, i.e. keys, however, wrapped candies, and soft fruit with peel would work just great! This bowl would also be a wonderful wedding gift, housewarming gift, or a gift for an in law who is difficult to shop for 😆
