The rug lay flat relatively easy, some wrinkles at first but they have mostly resolved themselves after 3 days. Because the rug is on the thinner side, you may consider a rug pad to help it lay flat under furniture—the rug will wrinkle under the weight of furniture. Nonetheless, it is very soft and the colors are lovely. I love it!

I was looking for more of rug that is more of a burber/mat type rug than an area rug for my laundry room/mud room space that leads to my garage.
