This is a very function and visibly pleasing large gold easel! I like to alternate pieces of art in my sunroom and having this makes it not just easy, but stunning! Simple assembly required; Gold is a dull antiqued look paint finish;_____This arrives in a plain box and is assembled by twisting together the cylinders to make the long "legs", etcetera. Because of this, there are small seams where each piece joins its neighboring piece. Not awful, but more noticeable in lighter colors. Black might be a better choice for this._____This will be used to post signs indoors at certain events._____IF USING OUTDOORS: I would probably keep it out of the way of winds (e.g. place in corner of porch, etcetera) so wind can not act on your sign as a "sail" to push against. I live in what can be a high wind location. A casual breeze should be okay._____The welds that attach the "ball" to the tops of the tubes are neat, but visible._____I hope this review helped you in some way.

Elegant and Solid Easel

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this easel when it arrived. All pieces are solid metal, giving it both durability and a very elegant look. The gold finish is beautiful without being overly shiny, and the openwork orb detail at the top adds just the right touch of style. The adjustable design makes it versatile for different sign sizes, and the chain support gives extra (needed) stability. It feels sturdy enough to hold wedding signs, posters, or framed pieces with no problem and is very lightweight. The only drawback is that it might be a little too lightweight if you were to have it out on a gusty day, I could see it potentially being knocked over, as the legs do not spread significantly in order to increase its stability.As far as set up goes, I was able to put it all together within a few minutes with ease. They include everything that is necessary.Overall though, I’m very impressed and highly recommend this easel for events and home use. It adds a beautiful touch to any environment.
