The rug arrived folded up and ready to use. The high pile had me concerned at first on cleaning the rug, but after inspecting the rug, it's easy to clean. The machine washable aspect makes it convenient if you spill something on the rug and need it deep cleaned.The rug itself is made well for the price. The material is soft, doesn't shed a lot, and is comfortable to walk, sit, and lay on. The non slip back helps the kids not turn our living room into a slip and slide. The stitching on the edges is clean and looks like the rug should hold up for a while of continued use. The foam cushion layer adds an element of padding making the rug feel great on your feet while walking on the rug. The 5 x 8 size is perfect for most rooms as an accent rug and the black color is nice and deep. The rug is stable for being light weight too.Overall this is a great option if you want a cozy rug that is affordable and durable, but still feels great on your feet.

So, so soft. Truly a bedside rug.

This is the kind of rug you put at the side of your bed so the first thing your bare feet feel in the morning is akin to mink fur. Though it is washable, I would recommend using a super capacity washer at a laundromat to do it, just to keep it nice. The color is inky black, so black, none of my robots will approach it, they see it as a dead zone. My pets have temporarily given up their beds to sleep on this rug. The measurements are true, for the price point this is a great deal, even if it only lasts a year or two in the partially trafficked area I put it in. Add instant grounding to any room of leisure with this flattened plushie of decor. As I do with all microfibers, I advise never to put this into a dryer; the fabric dries very quickly on the line and that will preserve the integrity and feel of this rug.

Very fluffy

You know there are things that I like about this rug and there are things that I do not like about this rug. The positives first. It’s nice and soft. Feels fantastic under your feet and to the touch. I like that the fibers are nice and long, giving this a very old-school shag rug feel. And the color is almost a glossy black. Now the negatives, I am not a fan of the non-skid backing that has been applied on the back of these rugs. I do not think they give enough hold to keep the rug from shifting on the floor. I will most definitely have to get something to assist me in keeping this rug from movement. I’m not sure why that the same application of non-skid backing cannot be put on these type of rugs, but they always seem to apply the dotted type, which I don’t think has nearly enough hold because of the rug is very light in weight. If the rug were heavier, I think it would have more hold, but it weighs next to nothing. Besides all of that, I do think the rug looks really good. I mean it is jet black, which makes it really cool looking in the room. And I think the price is appropriate for what you’re getting.
