This is such a nice quality frame - looks much more expensive than the actual price. It feels very solid in construction and each component look high end. The wood frame is painted a beautiful medium gray, the matte looks heavy weight and there is real glass. The back cover is also nice quality and everything comes apart and goes back together easily. Definitely a good deal for how nice looking and well made for this price point.
This is a beautiful frame and very well made, other than one flaw I'll get to later. With painted wood frames the attention to detail really matters, I've seen plenty that were thrown together sloppily and the paint made gaps or badly set corners extra obvious. This frame had none of those issues. Everything lined up correctly, the paint was done well with only one small nick that you'd have to look closely to notice, even the decorative circles were painted nicely. The glass is very clear and seems to be good quality, no scratches, nicks, or cloudiness.The one issue I found with the frame is the back piece. When I first took it out of the box the layers all came apart (be careful when you unbox it) and I nearly had a disaster on my hands. I assumed the back wasn't locked into place, no big deal. But what I found is that the back only has one locking piece, which is very odd, especially for a frame with so much attention to detail. The one locking piece (I have no idea what they're called) is on the bottom on the shorter side near the stand, which leaves the entire rest of the back completely unlatched and it won't stay attached to the frame or hold the picture and glass in place.I remembered years ago I had a couple frames that were similar and you slid the back up into the frame to secure the top, but even those had more than a single latch. It took some work but I did finally get the back to slide into the frame so it wouldn't fall off, but it wasn't a good fit and I'm still not sure that's what I'm meant to do. It didn't go in easily and it doesn't fit well. It's barely big enough to fill the back of the frame already, but by sliding it up into the frame so the top is held in place it leaves a rather large gap at the bottom, even the side has a small gap. The pictures I took don't do it justice, it's enough of a gap I wondered if maybe they put the wrong size back piece on the frame. So strange for a frame that's high quality in all other ways. I'm going to try and install some hardware myself to lock it in better, but everything else about it works fine.I really love the soft blue color, it looks great with the mat and I know is going to be a great showcase for whatever picture I end up putting in there. The price is a little high but reasonable for the quality of the frame. If the back piece had even one more latch to hold it in place I'd give it the full 5 stars.
Attractive frame, quality materials.
This frame actually looks really nice in person…the blue color isn’t loud & the beaded inner border gives it a subtle vintage feel.The real glass is a plus…doesn’t feel cheap like plastic fronts sometimes do.I like that it can sit on a table or hang on the wall…& the mat for 4x6 photos is a nice touch..size is correct.Feels sturdy overall…& for the price, it’s a good value for something that looks a little more decorative than basic frames.
I appreciate the quality of this frame, especially for the price. The painted wood looks professional and attractive, and I love that it comes with a matte so you can put different size photos in here, from a small 5x7 to a larger 8x10. The frame is fairy sturdy and easy to pop open, put back together, and either hang or prop up. Definitely a good value in my opinion.
I've been looking for a new 8x10 frame for a photo of my mother and this one caught my eye. In person it's even prettier with the black frame and "beaded" border. The frame feels substantial, and is made of MDF. It has glass and a matte for a 5x7 photo. The only thing that was a little off was the back, which doesn't totally fill the space so there's a little gap. But I was able to make it work. This is a bit costly for what it is, but I'm happy with the aesthetics so I gave it 4 stars.
This is a very classy picture frame. The design makes it look vintage. The workmanship looks good and made of quality material. It's nice that it comes with the inner border so you can display at 5x7 or 8x10, based your need. It's easy to open the back and change your picture. You can also display it vertically or horizontally. Overall, a very nice picture frame.
