The 5’ x 7’ machine-washable area rug is made of soft, low-pile polyester that feels gentle underfoot according to the care tag. I find it comfortable to walk bare feet on it. The backing is TPE. The TPE backing grips firmly to my floors without sliding and looks high-value. I also see it’s made in China.The rug arrived folded with visible creases along the fold lines. I laid it flat for two days, and most wrinkles relaxed on their own. For stubborn folds, I placed heavy books overnight, and they smoothed out completely. The manufacturer is against using a beater brush vacuum. I also avoid the sewn edges entirely, as advised in the user guide, and instead use a handheld attachment for perimeter cleaning.For spills, I read I have to blot immediately with a clean white cloth. When deeper cleaning is needed, I can machine-wash the entire rug separately in cold water with the face turned outward, using a mild detergent without bleach. I should dry it on low heat in the dryer (per the care tag).The geometric Moroccan-style pattern in soft beige blends well with neutral decor, and the flat-woven construction keeps it lightweight. The user guide says the rug is also Oeko-TEX STANDARD 100 certified, meaning it’s been tested for over 1,000 harmful substances. That gives me peace of mind.One note: while the backing is non-slip, I still vacuum underneath every few weeks to prevent dust buildup, which helps maintain grip.

Nice addition to my home office

I have multiple washable rugs in my home, and I love them all, this one is no exception. All of my other washable rugs are hall runner style, this is my first larger rug. I put this in my home office as my office floors are cement and I wanted something to make it a little less cold while adding some atmospheric warmth- this rug has done the job. It's thin enough that I can use it under my rolling office chair, but it still adds enough thickness to keep my feet from freezing on the cement floors. I haven't needed to wash it as of yet, but I feel I'll probably need to take it in to a laundromat when that time comes. I have a large washer, but I don't know if it will fit.While the rug is thin, it's also well made. There are not fraying edges, and all the edges are nicely finished. Love this rug

I have another washable rug I got at Costco for the same price as this and I can tell you this one feels much nicer and seems higher quality. First it is just a little bit thicker than the other not too much but enough to make it feel good to rub your feet on and the backing seems to be a better quality. I really like the light color, however not the best when you have crazy dogs. The last picture is one I took after my dog came into the house with not so clean feet. I let the dirt dry and it vacuumed right up. I've attached pictures of the instructions I received with this along with the rug when I first laid it out. The last picture is after it's been in my house a few weeks. I also just noticed there is fraying on the edge, but I can't take points off for that since I have crazy dogs that will zoom everywhere around the house.
