Beautiful and soft!

This 5 x 7 Butterfly Floral Print FALARK Washable Area Rug is absolutely beautiful!! Opening, unfolding and laying it down was fairly easy, and the creases came out within a couple of days. I was, however, a bit disappointed to find that there were what appeared to be bleach spots on one full edge of the rug border along with the same here and there throughout the rug. But I promptly ordered and received a replacement, which is in perfect condition. (And I certainly appreciated the ease of ordering and receiving the replacement.) This rug not only has beautiful pattern colors, but it also has a very nice soft texture and enough thickness that it lies on the floor well. The slip resistant backing keeps it from sliding not only during wear, but also when vacuuming. I must note here, though, that it's best to use a vacuum brush that you move in one direction during vacuuming. An upright rotary brush vacuum cleaner is too strong for it and could potentially damage both the rug and vacuum cleaner. I appreciate that this rug is washable. However, its size does necessitate the use of a large laundromat washer, which I do on a regular basis throughout the year to launder other similar area rugs. Although the cleaning instructions say not to put this rug in a dryer, I put rugs of this type in a laundromat dryer set on low heat, check on them every 10-15 minutes, and take them out promptly when dry. So far, this has not caused any damage to the rug or rubber backing.

Soft to the touch, no slip, great edging.

This rug is nice and soft to the touch and the colors are very pretty. They are pretty true to the picture, I guess. Sometimes it is hard to judge that, screen to screen, but I picked a color to match a cabinet in my kitchen and the match is great. The rug is antislip and seems to be sitting very well. Past experience with thin rugs tells me that the corners will eventually curl up, but so far so good--- we'll see! And on that note, yes, it is thin, like most of these printed rugs. It isn't going to improve the hardness of any floor.The edges have an excellent , thick stitching all around that rivals, or at least equals a much more expensive rug I have that cost 3x as much, but is the same kind of thickness and texture. So the quality for the price is there.I didn't notice, in the picture, that this rug has foot long beetles on it. I said to my husband, "Oh gosh, I don't know about a rug with large beetles on it..." He said, "That is exactly what makes it awesome!" My 8yr old boys chimed in their hearty agreement. Actually, it has grown on me, because the colors go together so well the rug in itself is really pleasing.Finally, it came all folded up and when I laid it out I was worried that the wrinkles would never go, but over night, they are gone and it is laying perfectly without any extra effort on my part, except stepping on the wrinkles a little.This would look great in a kids play space, or a homeschool room... or if you are people like us, right in the living room. Bug people, I guess that is who we are.

Great rug for a kid's room - grown up look, but with a nice dose of whimsy

I like the FLARK Butterfly Floral Print Throw Rug. The 5x7 measurement is accurate. The rug is thin, but soft, and it flattens out nicely in an afternoon. It's well packaged, which meant that I had no issues by myself in getting the rug in, unpacked, and laid out. It was easy to maneuver by myself.The back of the rug is non-slip, with a rubberized backing that holds it in place. The edges are seamed pretty well, with no major issues. The pile is quite short, but it vacuumed up nicely and feels comfortable under the foot.The rug does have some giant butterfly prints on it, though they do look more like moths to me. My entomology friend assures me that they are butterflies, though, as they have no fuzzy antennae and the wing shape indicates butterfly. They are pretty.The beetles on the rug are quite large. As someone not particularly fond of insects, I was not fully prepared for giant beetles. That said, my 4 boys LOVED them. Bugs on a Rug is apparently a major hit with the little boy crowd. This rug was installed in their room and honestly it really is a nice blend of my attempt to give their space a cohesive look and their need for something silly, whimsical, and fun. It's perfect.All together, this rug is a nice item for the price point. It is sturdy, well printed, soft, and has an excellent non-skid backing.
