Impressive Size and Quality for the Price

Make sure you have a hot glue gun ready before you start assembling this. The pieces go together well, but adhesive is required and the process is much smoother if you’re prepared.This turned out to be a really impressive decoration for the price. I picked up the letter K to add a little extra flair to my wife’s birthday morning (her name starts with K, if that wasn’t obvious), and it definitely made an impact.One thing that stood out to me is that the typeface is actually serif, which means the foam board had to be cut with quite a few angles and details. The die-cut foam pieces are surprisingly accurate given the complexity. I only noticed one small alignment imperfection, and even that was only visible because I’m a contractor and apparently incapable of not spotting tiny mistakes.You can assemble this by yourself, but having a second set of hands would make things easier. The border pieces need to be installed in sequence, and if you’re used to instant-set adhesives like CA glue with an activator, hot glue requires a little more patience while it sets.I’d actually recommend sticking with hot glue rather than cyanoacrylate. Some CA adhesives and accelerators can react poorly with foam materials, while hot glue bonds well without risking damage.Once assembled, the letter is large, bright, and makes a great centerpiece decoration for birthdays or celebrations. For the price, it’s a surprisingly fun and well-designed display piece.

Very fun decor for my son’s first birthday!

Easy to assemble and visually striking

This is an incredibly clever four foot tall number one which is visually striking. The material is made from styrofoam making it extremely light and safe to use especially at a children's birthday party. The pieces are white and could certainly be painted if desired. The components are attached and numbered making the assembly easy. There are well spaced holes throughout the figure in which included bulbs are placed allowing the number to be very well lit.The bulbs are all on one wire powered by batteries for portability. One note- a hot glue gun is required to ensure stability with the various pieces. There are two perpendicular pieces that will keep the figure upright. The assembly took us about ten minutes. We plan to use it for our grandson's first birthday party. It will, undoubtedly prove to be an excellent decoration. Highly recommended. It will add a festive and celebratory feel to any first birthday party.
