The four candles are packed in a single box. As soon as you break the plastic on the box you can smell the scent of the candles. The scent from the candles is pleasant and sweet. It is not overpowering but it is easily detectable about 8 feet away but not detectable on the other side of 20 ft room. It works great in a smaller room like a bathroom as an air freshener without needing to burn it but the scent isn't strong enough for really large room.The color matches the off white you see in the listing images. It burned like any other single wick candle of this size, creating a hollow tube as it burns down the middle. Extrapolating the amount burned down and time burning it does seem like it will last for the 60 hours stated.

I'm a big fan of jar candles. I have probably dozens of them and use them all of the time for lovely scents in my home. I thought that I would try pillar candles for a change as the Orange Vanilla scent sounded very appealing to me.Once I received these, I followed the directions about burning it for a few hours to get the wax across the entire top to prevent tunneling, without burning for more than 2–3 hours. After 3 hours, the wax still hadn’t reached the edges and was burning straight downward. I tried again today, but the candle is tunneling still. This was frustrating but after a few hours, the tunneling filled in and the wax was smooth across the top while it was still burning. So, I guess that took care of the tunneling problem.However, I had it burning next to me, about 2 feet away and I couldn't really smell anything after all that time. If I stand right above it I can smell it and I love the scent, but it isn't filling the room at all, nor did it the other day when I burned it for 3 hours. Maybe if I burned all 4 of them at the same time???It's a shame, because the scent is very nice and clean smelling, it just isn't filling the room at all. Sometimes that happens with a candle. Perhaps one of the others will have more of a scent to it.
These candles smell amazing without burning them and add a great scent to the room while you burn them. They burn great and evenly, they tunnel slightly but then fold back in on themselves not leaving a pain to light or a drippy mess. The scent is very pleasant and relaxing to me, making me think more of summer time during the cold of winter. I didn’t need to trim the wick before lighting and it lights nicely everytime. They give off a good amount of light in the dark, not to read by but differently enough to navigate, only found out since I have forgotten to blow it out before going to bed and wonder where the light was coming from. Easily worth the money.
