NOT DISTRESSED LOOK AT ALL, BUT ADDS SOPHISTICATION & IS FLORAL ORIENTAL & VINTAGE! UPDATE!
This review is for the 5 x 7 DISTRESSED VINTAGE ORIENTAL RUGPLEASE SEE BELOW IS MY REVIEW FOR THE 5 X 7 DISTRESSED BLACK & PEACH WITH IVORY ORIENTAL RUG.Since I reviewed it in the wrong place since I bought the exact same, IDENTICAL runner in 2 X 6 that's why it shows the online photo of the runner below is for my vine order for exact same colors in photo but it's for both. It only allows me to review one. This came in a small box that I was surprised would fit this 5 x 7 FLORAL ORIENTAL RUG that predominantly has only two colors. The Background is Black with a busy print which contains a lot of Ivory/Cream/White curlicue shapes with small Gray or very light Blue, but it has a lot of it those two colored spiky leaves that are that two toned shade of a darker Gray with lighter gray or else its a very light Blue mixed with Ivory/Cream.White with the scrolls and flowers. The other predominant color is the color of skin or a light Pinkish color combined with a very light peach. There are scroll marks and both little and big floral designs. I laid it flat when I opened it and put it in a spare room with some free weights and heavy book ends and the creases came out. This is one case that there are a lot of the colors of scrolls and hundreds of those small flowers and bigger ones with that spiky plants covering the surface with them gradually getting larger towards the center. The Pinkish/light Peach or I call it skin tones get bigger and take up the center. This is a very hard rug to describe and I know I'm not being very helpful, but I'm trying my best since the colors listed above make for a very busy, but highly attractive, soft rug with the Black background having very hard to describe colors of flowers, small and large but all together it'st like neutral colors that are different shaped flowers that contain the surface, yet it's a busy (I'm sorry to use that word again, yet it's the only way to say the colors are pale with a lot of scrolls and different size and different kinds of flowers. It seems very well made although it's a very low pile with your eye going towards the center print and the Black background is the boldest color. This is one case where this generously sized 5 x 7 rug is going to blend in with most decor presuming you like Black. In this case the photograph online is exactly what it looks like in person. The Floral oriental flowers are covered but still give a minimalist looking style except it being Black. It's Vintage looking, but I disagree with the headline describing it as "Distressed," which is not distressed looking at all. I know because I own a few that were very expensive and I didn't buy them here. So if you're looking for a thin ORIENTAL, FLORAL Print neutral colored Black background rug I think you'll love this. I put a rug pad under ours to make it look more plush and it does have that non slip backing which makes it stay put. Even though there's quite a bit going on as far as the print the very light colors that strike me as neutral elevate this rug to be very worth the price and warmed up a spare room that has some black accents like a medium sized Black framed mirror, some black shelves and bookcase and a vase with black silk roses . I love it! I would recommend this to being a classy rug that looks like it would cost more than it does. It's one of my favorite black rugs since the Oriental Floral pattern is very understated with the colored print makes it look as soft as it feels. I like it so much I bought it in a runner and am still debating where I want to put it. Most likely in one of our upstairs hallways.
