Really surprisingly nice and thick!
I got this 36 by 36 inch clear area mat for our hard floor kitchen a few months ago, and it's been doing a solid job protecting the tile from daily wear.What stands out right away is how exceptionally thick it is compared to other clear mats I've tried. That thickness gives it a nice substantial feel underfoot, almost like a soft cushion without being squishy, and it really absorbs the impact from chairs scooting around or heavy pots dropping.It stays perfectly flat and doesn't curl up at the edges even after being walked on constantly. Perfect size for under a kids table or high chair
This is the perfect size and thickness to fit under my kids little folding table. It doesn’t slip and slide, is way easier to wipe down and clean that grout and offers great protection for the floor beneath it. Great quality and perfect for my needs.

Nice quality mat; but I wasn't expecting a plastic mat to require a 10 minute set up
I got this mat for my cat litter box area.I was surprised by how strong and firm this is. I was expecting something flimsy like the clear plastic mats that go underneath office chairs, but this is much more rigid.That led to an unexpected pain point - the mat comes curled up and requires a bit of wrestling to get it into a flat position. Once you get it flat and put something heavy on each of the corners, you need to blow hot air from a hair drier on it for about 10 minutes to get it to relax into the new shape (you can leave it in the sun for a couple of hours, but that wasn't an option for me because it's been raining). I wasn't expecting a plastic mat to require such an intensive set up, but once you complete this it does stay in a flat position without any bumps or ridges.On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to trim it down. I was using heavy duty kitchen sheers and imagine that standard scissors would be more difficult.Overall, I'm quite happy with this despite the 10 minute set up time.

I really like this mat. It’s a good size. You know, I haven't conducted a comprehensive search, but this PVC mat seems cheaper and thicker than many on Amazon. I was curious to try using it under my computer chair for a few days, and it wasn't too bad for it, but that isn't the intended function. It would be great on a table or counter, especially over a tablecloth, to make wiping spills a breeze. Unlike some other transparent PVC rolls I own, this one is textured and not smooth, which helps it to not be so reflective and mirror-like. In the future I might have it under a pet crate or bird cage to catch anything that falls through the bars.
