Nice Candle
I really like this candle. The quality seems great. There is no weird smell or stinky smoke, so I believe it really is beeswax. I have only burned it a few times so far, but I think we will get close to the 42 hour burn time they advertise. I looks really classy and is quite large. My only complaint is that it seems to tunnel when burning. This overtime will reduce burn time and make it go out faster. I've been rotating it after burning to try and redistribute the hot wax, but that is pretty annoying.

Okay candle, but it tunnels.
This 3-wick beeswax candle by Makalone is okay, but I do have a couple issues with it.First the good:I do like that it’s unscented, natural beeswax because my husband is sensitive to fragranced candles. This candle only throws off the typical mild honey scent of genuine beeswax that most people probably won’t even notice unless they are coming into your house from outside.We certainly didn’t notice any adverse reactions to the fumes of this candle as another reviewer unfortunately experienced.However, I did notice this candle has a bit of a tunneling problem. From my own experience making beeswax candles, I think this is because beeswax has such a high melting point, and it takes so long for the wax pools to spread out.In one of the pictures I posted, you can see the tunneling effect after the first six hours of burn time. And then in the video I posted, that’s what the candle looked like after a second session where I burned the candle for an additional seven hours. Remarkably, the wax pools still hadn’t melted together after all that time.For anyone familiar with those three wick candles that are so popular at a certain body shop, you probably know it only takes a matter of an hour or two for their softer wax blends to spread evenly and completely to the sides of the vessel.So maybe this manufacturer needs to do more product testing to ensure their candles don’t tunnel like this. Maybe try a thicker wick?Also, it is kind of funny that the entire candle could be lifted right out of the vessel before I even started burning it. (See photo) I think this lack of adherence to the vessel is another problem with beeswax when it comes to it being used in filled candles. It probably would have helped if this beeswax was cut with soy or something, but I don’t know. I’m no expert.Lastly, for a thirty dollar candle, I really think the issues noted above shouldn’t be happening. The quality isn’t quite commensurate with the price tag. It’s not a bad candle, it’s just not particularly great either.Three stars from me.
