Good quality scentless floating candles

UPDATE: After doing an ops test yesterday, my only concern with these candles is that I had to keep trimming the wicks. After about 1.5 hours, the flames would get too big. The candles did burn for about 7.5 hours. Original review follows:I wanted to recreate the cranberry floating candle holders I did 25 years ago, and these candles whould work great for that. You just pour about a half bag of fresh cranberries in a tall 3'1/2-4" wide tall glass container (you can often find these at the dollar store), add water until the cranberries are floating at the level you want, then plop in your candle, and light. They are super simple, beautiful and cheap.I like that these candles come in a heavy box with a flip top, so that the candles won't get dinged up in storage. They are good-sized, too, and should burn for a solid 8 hours. Twelve should last me a couple of years, so the value is very good. No complaints here.

Wicks too fragile and burn too fast

I purchased this set for table centerpieces at an upcoming bridal shower. Twelve candles is a generous quantity, and I liked that they were unscented paraffin, three inches round and about an inch tall.I ran into a few issues during testing. In a wide vase partially filled with colored water, the candle floated off to the side rather than staying centered, which won’t work with the display I had planned. The vase also became extremely hot very quickly. This surprised me, because the candle burned for less than two minutes.I then tried a narrower, taller vase filled to the top so the flame would be farther away from the glass. The wick immediately broke off and could not be relit. I tried another candle and had the same problem. The wick burned down too quickly, leaving very little wick left to use.My criticism is the wick quality. They are short, brittle, and the seller does not identify the material used. That is why I am rating this product 3 stars. The idea is good, but the wicks are too fragile and limit how practical these candles actually are.

Gorgeous floating candles last a long time

This is an unbeatable deal for a set of 12 stunning floating candles. The 3" diameter candles arrived intact and carefully packaged, without any imperfections. The thick cotton wicks are of excellent quality, and the candles burn well. I had them on for about 4 hours last night, and the wax has barely been consumed at all, so they should last a long time.
