More of a Mat Than a Carpet

⚠️Check out the included photos, as they really say more about this product than I can!. The bottom line is that this is a really nice rug!⚠️When I first unpackaged it I was a little worried that maybe I made a mistake and picked an ugly color but when I actually put it down on the floor it really looked great on my wood floor next to similarly colored wood furniture (see photos). It's shipped rolled so when you first lay it out there are some slight bumps but they disappeared after a day or so.📍The rug itself is closer to a mat than it is a rug❗What I mean by that is there's no pile on top (what I mean by that is there is no yarn like fabric sticking up from a mat beneath it, or in other words if you know what shag carpeting is, the part that's extra long which differentiates it as shag carpet, that part is gone entirely. Being more like a mat, it's very thin, perhaps no more than an eighth of an inch thick (that's a wild estimate by eye - see the photo with the rug between my fingers to judge for yourself).This is exactly what I was looking for in this situation, and am very satisfied with it. I find the "shag" on top of a normal carpet to be extremely dirty and impossible to ever fully clean (they just absorb everything nasty and kill my allergies), a rug like this one avoids that problem entirely!I should note that because it's so light it does have a tendency to slide a bit, despite a slight rubberized coating on the bottom. Some type of product/carpet tape to hold it in place may be necessary but be extremely careful when picking out that product.The carpet is made of some type of synthetic fiber, which is fully machine washable. Of course what else should I expect at this price point? It's a competitively priced rug that is cheap enough to be replaced after a few years but it's durable enough that it should last decades with proper care.🔺CONCLUSIONS🔺Overall I feel this deserves five stars; I'm very satisfied with it and I think the color looks great on top of a wood floor. The details in the listing all seem accurate; there isn't anything negative I can think of worth mentioning.I'm enjoying this rug and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! 😀👍

A little bit plasticky looking, not exactly like jute, but it is good for what I need, which is basically a really big door mat. I have had no issues keeping it clean with my dogs coming in and out in all weather. If you are looking to out this anywhere but a foyer or maybe kitchen, you may want to choose something else.

If you need a rug immediately, this one might not be for you—it did take almost two weeks to arrive. That said, if you’re looking for a decent-quality rug with a non-slip backing that’s thicker than most washable rugs, this one is absolutely worth the wait.I’m using it in my bedroom, and even though it’s marketed as an indoor/outdoor rug, it feels really nice on bare feet. When I unpackaged it, there was no smell at all, and the fold lines started fading almost immediately, which was a pleasant surprise.I do question how well it will hold up in the washing machine since it’s heavier and thicker than other washable rugs I own. Highly recommended Washable rug

Washable rugs really help to reduce concerns around children and pets. This is the second washable rug I have from this company.This area rug is quite nice. As per the description states, it is jute, easy to wash with a toss in the machine, although I prefer to hand wash my rugs. The design on this is nice and not loud so it blends well with my bedroom decor.I wish I had ordered a much larger size like the 8x10 to better anchor my bed in the space. I might do that but for now, I am okay with the rug. It feels modern wig a touch of traditional. I like the balance quite well.Also, the back of it makes the rug non-slip. Though I am layering this on a carpeted floor so I shouldn't have any issues with slippage.When you first open the rug, it will have ceases based on how it was shipped. I laid the rug flat and put some heavy objects on it for about 24/48 hours to smooth out the crease. Once you do that, it does lay very flat.I recommend it.
